The 1st caller ask something about him being the coach...

The answer was "We will know more about that when there is an announcement is made be the university"...

I don't know if you heard this or not, but he said "I love those guys on that team so much, and I have lovED everything about being at TN"

Maybe he let it slip that he knew he was done? Maybe it was just a truism? I don't know.

I know I feel sorry for the guy. It is like having a significant other who loves you dearly and would do anything for you, but who you just don't have any feelings for at all and who annoys the crap out of you. It is hard to break up, but it has to be done...

Sorry it wont be hard for me.. he is taking 5 mill with him

That's why I think it's stupid that people hate him, and even more than Kiffin. The guy tried, he's just not a good head coach.

Very true statement. He needs to go, but I have no doubt he did everything within his power to win, and to win the right way...to respect UT and her traditions, but just couldn't get it done in any aspect on the field.

Gruden is the only hire that will unite this fanbase. Not saying I won't follow if somebody else is hired but I won't be excited about it.

I may follow UT, but I have 10 season tickets that I am damn sure not renewing if Hart let this happen and Gruden is not at the end of it.

There may be another coach that I would accept, but it would have to be a doozy if it isn't Gruden.

But if it isn't Gruden, then why the hell was Dooley coaching for the last 3 games?

I don't buy any of this Bowl Game crap either.

Put me with you guys. I don't hate Dooley. I don't want him as HFC either.

I agree. I wanted him to succeed. I don't hate him, but we need a good head coach.

Murdering the maxims on a weekly basis is not respectful to UT tradition. Otherwise I agree.

Dooley getting $5 million dollars for this train wreck is one of the most unjust things I have ever witnessed.

The "leadership" of the University of Tennesee who approved Dooley's contract should be required to pay every penny of it personally. They (Mike Hamilton, Athletics Board, etc.) were not protecting the university's interests when they authorized Dooley's contract.

No reason to hate a man for coming in here and trying the best he could to turn a floundering program around. It was a crappy situation to begin with. Sadly, his best wasn't enough. This whole season has reminded me of Buzz Peterson's and Bill Battle's last seasons. I like Dooley, but he ain't the guy. Time to move on to a better coach. I wish him and his staff the best in life.
GBO!
