IMO, Dooley let the players run over the coaches for too long, and that ultimately was his undoing.

Lex...are you saying Dooley doesn't coach against Kentucky? Why take him off the sidelines now? it's over...if you were gonna do the interim thing it should have been done after SC

The logic that I heard repeated about this (not saying if I subscribe or not) is that those in charge still wanted a chance at a bowl game. Their thinking was that putting in an interim was too destabilizing and would show the players that you were basically forfeiting the season.

If it ever became clear that we couldn't make a bowl game, the trigger would be pulled.

I agree with this...Bray's behavior is not justified...but sometimes fans can be so unbelievably stupid.

Bray looked terrible, even when we were winning.

Won't disagree. But any real head coach rolls with T.Bray in that situation. Good players find a way out of a slump. Benching Bray in the 2nd to last game of the season in a rivalry (which is pathetic that TN even acknowledges Vandy as a rival in the first place) game proves absolutely no point whatsoever.

I totally agree it should have happened earlier, but totally disagree about tonight. if a coach doesn't have disciple, he has no team. He has a bunch of me's, which is exactly what we have.

Pretty sure that is info the AD wants to get out. hart knows that people are pissed so he is making sure everybody knows tonight what is a foregone conclusion.

Would have been fine with me if they did it after MSU. That was a game that a well coached team on the rise wins. We lost by 10. Should have had an interim the following Monday.

I felt this way a few weeks ago.

Screw it! He would not get the opportunity to walk in Neyland as UTs coach again if its me.

I was hoping for an interim after SC...but at this point let the guy get booooed one more time in Neyland
