Ohhh, I'm not familiar with that thread. I'm relatively new here. I just thought it was a typo on your part and I was giving you a friendly heads up. Carry on.

I'd link you to it, but I think the mods deleted it.

That, and I'm too lazy to search for it.

I'd be ok with Golden if we miss on the homerun. People look at his overall record & just say no but he's a much better coach than his record indicates. He took over a 0-11 team & made them winners. The roster he inherited at Miami was in similar shape to ours when Dooley got here. He wouldn't be my #2 choice but he would do well here. JMO

Hey Bruin, I'm curious...what is that they like so much about him. I mean, I get he's high energy and that he did a great job at Temple.

But I look at the recruiting rankings, discount 2011 because of the situation down there...he ends up finishing 9th in recruiting in 2012, but the bulk of the class was 23 3* players...Dooley got more 4* players. I would hope that would be a consideration, because you can't do that at UT and expect to compete.

I'm not attacking you, or anyone, I'm just curious why folks in the AD are high on him.

They said they really liked his ability to get more from less than most coaches. They felt his tenur at temple was nothing short of a miracle and his situation at the U was much worse than DD stepped into. They also said that since he has recruited with poor resources all his career he would do much better with ours. He was sold on him.

This is a big IF,but if we win out and go to a bowl game, will Gruden coach the bowl game or Chaney as Interim?I say if because I don't see us beating Vandy tonight.
