Fair enough - I'll trust that the right things are being done and that he won't screw it up. Too many people saying the same thing.

If, however, we end up with Smart then I may change my tune.

I don't believe his sources have changed.....I think he's been reeled in for some reason.

I like Ainge, but he is still pretty new to this media thing. He is still very much learning on the job.

It would not surprise me to learn that he is being a little TOO much opposite of what he was originally saying.

You may be right. But I truly think Hart was gonna give Dooley another year if he won out. Reports are he was fighting to not fire him. Who knows what really to believe, but knowing what has happened at UT in the past, I am more likely to believe that at the moment. We shall see.

The timeline i remember reading, was Thansgiven. Actually what was said was around the time we are eating turkey. . . This is still good for me

I'm not well connected, but last I heard, Gruden #1, Patterson very close #2, Strong distant #3, essentially.

Anyway, since you didn't mention that Gruden is 100% locked in, prepare to be blasted.

I know I'm no body important but if Dooley is kept and we don't have a coach already lined up and he is let go at end of season and we are competing against other sec schools I'm going to be livid.

Kentucky and arkansas have made it public on coaching searches. Kentucky is no competition but arky is.

Sorry just really concerned the university get this right this time or we will fall even further.

Possibly a bucket of light bulbs at the point of sale would go over well.

Hmm, thinking big here but how about giving VOL fans a complete and cathartic experience under one convenient roof?

We shuffle them in where they proceed in turn to kick and or tackle a large orange dog, purchase and kick a bucket of bulbs, take delivery of a quality mattress and douse it in lighter fluid and at this point, we can even toss in the BIC lighter. Maybe have a premium experience that includes a monogrammed Zippo?

The prophecy that has been written on this thread is that Gruden is coming, period.

The prophecy was not that Dooley would be fired and that we would get a new coach.

To me this whole thing is much ado about nothing if Gruden is not named coach.

I would have and still do expect mundane things out of the UTAD. Only if this prophecy is fulfilled and these posters are proven correct will I feel differently.

I know this is a rumor and speculation thread, but the guys posting the "credible" stuff arent saying he is "maybe" on the list of coaches. They are saying he IS the list.
