Only if the practice is conducted by coaches who know what they are doing. Continuing to coach badly only reinforces bad habits.

No. You posted like you have all of the answers and your condescension is palpable. I don't know or care who you support but you were carrying water for the biggest Dooley cheerleader since the first Gruden thread. I simply thought you may need a re-fill on your Franzia.

I'd bet money that Dooley isnt fired until after Kentucky. There just isnt any reason to assign an interim coach for just two game.

I disagree.

If I believe he lost the team yesterday (and I believe he did), I certainly appoint an interim for only 2 games.

I dont have ANY answers. And my point is NONE of these people have any answers either even though they come on here and say things that for one reason or another make sense to them because they want Gruden. Its very X-files-like.That is the whole point.

I am simply saying that reality is much more mundane than our fantasy and that UT has given no indication at all that any of this is actually happening.

DD issues are in 2 areas when your looking at these last 2 games.

1)He is a terrible game manager. we all saw how terrible that was yesterday.

2)The overall on field discipline the team shows. All the pre snap penalties are proof the culture isn't structured enough to be successful.

Yesterday the team did play hard and had significant energy which was good to see. I think they would show the same effort in Nashville Saturday if DD is let go but stays on the sidelines. I have more doubts about that effort if he isn't let go and coaches or if he is let go and doesn't coach.

The discipline issue won't be helped by DD not being on the sidelines. So that leaves the game management as the only upgrade IMO for these next 2 games and I am sorry but JC doesn't create a a level of confidence in me. At least not enough for me to risk the reaction on the kids with DD not being on the sidelines.

I am a realist. Black and White kind of guy. No grey area. Right or wrong. A lot of what I have read and the reaction to those opinions is similar to what catnip does to a cat.

Again, I have blood in the AD. They don't have time for a "smoke screen". Mentioned it last night to my FM and it was laughable. Come on guys. A change is coming. We are vol fans. You are not hiring the next coach through a blog or radio show.

Be careful what you ask for: have the players been going to class and will be eligible for a bowl. I know one star will not. I don't want the program in espn getting trashed by fowler. Let's close this debacle out and start with a new guy. Bowl practice is irrelevant now. The hire is more important.

Bowl practice is far from irrelevant. I don't care if bray, hunter, patterson, and all the other "guys" participate or not but the young kids need that developmental time. It really has nothing to do with our current starters IMO


I do agree that the smokescreen stuff is laughable

THAT is a really solid point...regarding the bowl game trash we would receive if we make it. Fowler would trash TN.
