Gruden was talking about signing players to a bonus contract to come to UT. When told he had to recruit kids in their mommas and grand mommas homes, he called the Eagles front office.

Are you one of the BIG BOOSTERS talking to him, no didn't think so. Know one knows except those involved in the talks. Let's just say Gruden was telling them he might (50%), wouldn't they (boosters and AD) want to still keep expectations of getting him low to not set fans up for dissappointment? Not to mention other reasons for downplaying it.

Starting to pizz me off, Larry. First you say Dooley was the only one available last time around, and that is an absolute lie. It was widely reported at the time that Sumlin not only was one of the remaining candidates, but was VERY interested. Hamilton didn't think he had enough name recognition, and instead put his chips on Dooley...even though he was the least qualified.

Now you want to sell us this BS that you KNOW he's not coming, despite others with more connections than yourself stating that he is.

If you knew, either way, I doubt you'd be saying anything right now.

Just responding to the post I quoted.

I think a Monday announcement is increasingly likely. Started hearing it around 5 o'clock from people now media is starting to talk about bit. Has a "Fulmer" kind of feel to it. I just hope they use an interim and get Dooley TFO.
