Official Jon Gruden Thread VI

Starting to hear from the people I want to hear it from to expect an announcement Monday. Unclear as to Dooley finishing the season or Chaney interim. Have now heard it from three different people that know a lot more than I. I do not think personally he finishes the season, could be wrong. There apparently was a new level if tension in the locker room after the game. Several people I know believe the straw was broken tonight.

Man I hope they are right. I think now less than 2% of anyone would react negatively. Hart made a good gamble leaving him to hang himself completely imo.

No offense to the others that bring info to this thread but as of late, I tend to listen to bcarter. If he says he is hearing things, I am listening. The only reason I have to back this up is I am so tired of the roller coaster ride. I just kind of feel like he's been where I am. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

I think it's because they are in the football forum calling properest don't support Dooley the dreaded "not true fans" and people are calling them dipsh%&* . Jmo not an insider. Tifwiw

I know, I am saying that I think one of members he listed is a coach... :hi:

The reason i don't think they're big time is because their name isn't instantly recognizable by recruits, they're great with x's and o's though.

I disagree with Del Rio, but the main reason Roman would be big time is because you mention Harbaugh along side his and the NFL, that turns heads IMO.

But an outside chance would be the ND DC.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am fairly certain Dooley has a Sunday evening teleconference. If he indeed has been popped already and will not finish the season I would think an announcement would occur prior to that. I'm guessing he finishes out the season though.

It's possible, but the locker room stuff seemed pretty bad if what I heard was all true. No specifics on here but let's just say Dooley didn't "carry himself" very well. One person that said that is the first time they have commented to me about it, and this time they were livid. Apparently a lot of fingerprinting from and at Dooley.

CBS's Bruce Feldmans twitter status...

Tenn, which once led Mizzou 21-7, headed to OT as boos rain down on Dooley. Crazy first 3 hours of CFB today.

If the first little piggy would've built his house out of that kind of straw the big bad wolf would have never made to number two........ Just sayin'..

Reminds me more of coach Sal. Duh

Actually this is inside video of Sal coaching, keep in mind this video was taken after the Offense gave the team a nice lead.

SIAP Is it true that JG would need to make some type of announcement as they are implying?

Gruden?s potential return affecting broadcasting career

Accurate or not, these rumors will have a significant potential impact on Gruden’s current job. With so many possible vacancies coming in January and with Gruden skillfully positioning himself while in the broadcast booth to offend no potential employers, nearly every current head coach would have to regard Gruden as a looming competitor in that coach’s division, as soon as January.

So how inviting will those coaches be when the time comes to share information or players or anything with Gruden during a Monday Night Football production meeting? Answer: Not very.

This dynamics likely require Gruden to make it known now that he won’t be returning in 2013, if he intends to remain in broadcasting for another year. If current NFL coaches think Gruden is coming back in 2013, things could get interesting during the final weeks of this year’s edition of Monday Night Football.

I understand and you are quite courteous with my jabs when your "sons" aren't on your account.

Based on posts I think Avi is solid just a little late to the table lol.

Could you imagine our Athletic Department. Coach Zo bringing basketball back to relevance in TN. We found a gem in him. Then we manage to land gruden. Not to mention always being nationally relevant in womens basketball even without pat we should still be solid. Along with the other sports. We could be on our way back up in athletics overall.

Im very optimistic and hopeful.
I like Zo but I think the love for him is pretty premature. He hasn't done much yet.
