I do. And I understand what you're saying. I know one former player (played in the 80s) and his family and my family are essentially extended familes to each other. He is still very active in the booster scene and I trust what he tells me. He can't stand Dooley, the players can't stand Dooley. Pittman, Graham, Hinshaw, and Cheney deserve all the credit for this offense not telling the D to F off and to keep putting points up on the board. This season would look a whole lot worse without them.

It could have been worse?

Sure they could say anything. They do say anything that is evidenced in this thread. They aren't always correct

So it is possible that some booster who knew something did share that information with a member of a players family? Is it also possible that the information was correct?

I am not doubting info on kids like or dislike o DD. I just will take anything a kid or family says about the coaching search with a grain of salt.

The way scouts drool over combine numbers, its untelling how high he could go.

Not always true. He will slide a bit due to lack of experience and route running issues. Mike Wallace did not go until the end of the 1st, or maybe even the 2nd round, and he ran a 4.3.

We could have been blown out in these games and the O could have quit. They haven't. O coaching staff deserves a lot of respect.

Thing I'm most proud of is O-line. Those guys have been the most consistent even if we are dropping passes or making bad throws.

Not just his speed, they do a lot of different drills at the combine. He does have route running issues but has solid hands. I mean who knows, he could fall to the bottom of the first round but his speed, size, strength and hands, if he performs at the combine, he could climb very high in the 1st round. Jmo tho

My apologies, the guy I spoke with made no mention of a coaching search. I wasn't trying to imply that. I was speaking just from a "they hate Dooley" perspective.

Pittman and Graham been doin work!! O-line and run game has made major improvements. I still think the offense as a whole could be much better with another OC.

Same as the info on here.

You made this statement "No family member of any player of the team knows any more About this situation that what they might read on here. The players and family members will know at exactly the same time we know and perhaps after." How could you or anyone else know that?

I realize this is THE Gruden thread, but for those with discussions of Patterson:
SIAP Move if needed.

Pete Roussel of CoachingSearch.com has been informed that TCU head coach Gary Patterson has now emerged as the leading candidate for the Arkansas head coaching job.

Patterson has been the head coach at TCU since 2000, and TCU just joined the Big 12 this season. Patterson has a 115-33 career record at TCU.

In 2009, Patterson was named Coach of the Year for leading his Horned Frogs to a 12-1 record, but he one-upped himself the very next year by running the table at 13-0 and winning the Rose Bowl against Wisconsin.

Former Ole Miss, Auburn and current Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville has long thought by some to be a leading candidate at Arkansas.

Patterson is a defensive-minded coach, and he would be a terrific hire for the Hogs if this deal were to get done.

But the question still remains: would Patterson actually take the job at Arkansas? It’s easier to win in the Big 12 at TCU than it is at Arkansas, playing the likes of Alabama and LSU every year.

If they are getting this info from the same place this thread is getting info from then it's going to be conflicting. You are the one claiming that boosters could give them info. Sure that's possible but that means nothing but more conflicting info that may or may not be true just like this site.

Great news if you are an Arkansas fan. Lets hope this means we are in the mix with him as well or have our guy!!

If it wasn't for the fact that we post pretty much whatever we want in here I would say that belongs in the Gary Patterson thread. It does highlight the importance of getting Gruden Locked in Formally however.
