My biggest nightmare as a Vol fan would be watching us win the SEC championship under Petrino. It would be like sitting in the audience at the adult video awards and trying to be happy for her as my daughter took home the prize for best anal scene of the year.

I feel the same way about Petrino. We would have a divided fan base from the beginning. We need someone that we can all rally around right now.

The wrench has been taken care of. I went from 99% to 75% and now back to 90%. A few more minor issues to fix and we will be where we want to be. The biggest hurdle has been cleared though.

I've been a longtime reader of this board and I've had no need to post until now, when a friend of mine (who works in the AD's office) sent me this.

P.S. - I love how many sources there supposedly are "in the AD's office."

I know the makeup of the AD and I can tell you there's no huge AD "office." Hart's secretary is Rita Wilson. She's been the AD secretary all the way back to coach Dickey. That's it. There isn't some team of people. The Senior and Associate ADs are responsible for other things like non-revenue sports, development, finance, etc. With the exception of Jon Gilbert and David Blackburn, there isn't anyone else who would be privy to information other than that.

Strong has improved Louisville, but they're just barely squeaking by mediocre Big East and ACC teams. I'm not sold on him yet.

Is they're really this many problems inside AD? to hear this is just sad!! sounds to me like some major firing needs to take place if not already have, but it is good news maybe the wheels have started to turn again Thanks bray!

Not really.

Despite the fact I don't nor did I ever want Dooley, he wasn't overrated at all because he wasn't rated period. I don't think he's a dirtbag either, nor is he making more money anywhere else.

2 and 3 aren't possible IMO. I had bobby p ahead of strong as well but fan support flip flopped them for me since they are so close in other areas.

I think Patterson would be a really good hire, I don't think Peterson is leaving Boise. I think with our recruiting budget and facilities, he could recruit at a high level and is a great coach.
