It wasn't about the moral issue IMO. Nepotism is OK in a family business, but can lead to legal problems in a corporate (or university) setting. Not smart at all.

This is the point that most miss...that he was using his political power to have his mistress hired without due process and disregarding actual job qualifications. All other candidates for the job were more qualified. As well as disregarding the requirement of interviewing minority candidates (maybe he thought that since she was the only blonde bimbo applicant, that she was a minority
