Anybody with a brain reads this info with a grain of salt as it is posted on a rumor message board.

Yes I care so much that I log in once every few days. I just like to come check out the hysteria these "insiders" cause. It is quite hilarious the boners people pop for internet message board rumors. Heaven forbid anyone try to be realistic.

The fact you feel like you have to defend anonymous internet message board "insiders" is pretty sad. White Knight alert.

Gruden hasn't taken another coaching position. If you believe Ainge's rumors, then you gotta believe the rumors that things could easily change next week. We probably got 3 more weeks before Dooley is fired, a lot can happen during that time frame. The point is, we are still in a "wait and see" period.

Agreed. Just like those saying 100per done deal should have realized its a process. This could happen it could fall apart but nothing is set in stone.

i will continue to believe with you. BUT, if dooley is still our head coach, and these Gruden rumors dont get better, the next home games attendance might be too much to ignore.

I agree. The buck stops with him. And, if the mismanagement of the football program is any indication, then the management of the rest of the University has to be called into question.

As of now where would you guys place your odds on him coming? I think that's what people are wondering. Because if a deal was in fact solid those odds should still be very high. It's possible those involved cut out some moles and may possibly be playing up the misdirection to make this truly a surprise.

I'm stating the fact that this is a message board titled rumor and speculation. I don't know any of these people. I don't even know who said "100%", and I don't really care. People can make up their own minds.

People post info on a message board. Some people choose to believe. Others are healthy skeptics. That's fine. I think most people here don't take this very seriously and read it for speculation. If people take it seriously then that is their own fault.

I turn 51 next month and I am dealing with an adult/booster/Skybox owner not some kid trying to punk someone. My source is also not part of Volnation or any other Vol sites.

I want the Gruden thing to be true. But, there is some truth to what Bruin is saying. Nothing is 100% until the ink is dry on a binding document.

I think Cheek will be taken care of this week at the BOT meeting.

Negotiations are a fluid situation. Something could have happened that caused a major speed bump. It doesn't mean that they will give up on Gruden.
