Any time my lady ( The Queen ).

Hope you and others are proven right when all is said and done Coastypop. The waiting game, with nothing official to back up the insiders optimism is what makes everyone crazy.

Yea... very understandable... everyone makes a choice of who they want to believe and who they do not. I have been here a few years, actually entered this thread from the recruiting thread and have found those I have mentioned to be very credible posters.

I believe the silence from Hart speaks volumns when it comes to this issue. Were there nothing to the release of Dooley Hart would imo make a public statement...if for no other reason recruiting.

If therer were nothing to the Gruden talk, eith hart or Gruden camp would make a public statement that no one has spoken about the UT job. for PR reasons.

I believe that the fear is they may come off as the Saban thing to Bama did a few years back when he was denying talking to Bama til he ended up behind their podium. Again... NO INSIDER HERE... just my thoughts and why I have chosen to believe them

Not imo. I was talking about public rejection during a fornal search. The groundwork is being done beforehand this time from what I'm told.

It should always be done before hand IMO. No smart business owner or business person in general, should invite the possibility of public rejection or negative perception if it can be avoided.

I just try to please everyone even when they don't agree with my post..But I still have the same stance about the issue in reference.:salute:

I know. I drank the Doolaid. Not so much for the man, but the situation he inherited (sp) . But as the talent increased the signs of the mans weaknesses increased also. We still only have 30 - 40 sec cal. players IMO. But Odools has to go, for economic reasons and lack of coaching reasons. :twocents:

Very valid point IMO

Smokey, my Daddy used to always tell me, if you're going to say it, go ahead and own it ;)

Girlfriend, I wouldn't even worry about trying to please posters, so many have already shown there is absolutely no pleasing them.

I have to think the players are happy that "they" won that one, since it's pretty obvious, with the exception of a couple of assistants, they don't have any coaching worth a damn.

Waiting on our food at cheddars on Clinton hwy! Figured someone would be spreading good news that Dooley joined joker! Oh well

Agreed..I jumped off of the Dooley train after the 1st half of the Akron game..That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me..No way should we have been tied to them at half time.:twocents:

It was Florida for me. I was at the Akron game and was sick to my stomach the entire game.

That's just the kind of person I've always been..wanting to make everyone happy.

I appreciate your kind words.:salute:

Sometimes no response is the best response, which is the case in our situation right now i believe.. Either we can do what UK is doing right now, which is say that Dooley will no be the coach next season and start another "coaching search". The problem with that, is at UT if we were to go that route, we would be spending time figuring out who would be our coach, who's turning us down, who has no interest in the job, all while recruits sit in limbo as well.

What i think we're probably doing, and what is the best approach is to stay quiet on the situation and continue to feel things out and get our (Big Name Coach) lined up BEFORE we come out and say Dooley is gone. This, unlike UK's situation would be able to provide us with a seamless transition... Dooley walks out the door, in walks the next guy, signs his contract and we're done..

It's logical, and would only work to our advantage IF it is a homerun hire.. (such as Gruden).. Would be a seamless transition, recruits would be more likely to jump ONboard instead of OFF, and we start the next era of Tennessee Football. Simple.

Yep and making matters worse no SEC "caliber" recruit is going to risk their potential career by playing for this program in its present state if they are presented with an opportunity to go elsewhere.

I thought I heard Gruden broke a horses back. :dance2:

JK. I agree. We should have been in a lot of different places than we have been. SOON.
