I just got home from the game, and it took a long drive and supper at Cracker barrel to get over that mess I saw and one huge knuckehead sitting behind me in section A. As soon as me and my boys sit down what do I hear? Man, Dooley really needs one more year, it would set us back 5 years if we fire him. I stood up and told him Thank God others have already made that decision, how much more do you want us to suck???? He kept it up thru the start of the 4th quarter, and I finally stood back up and said our D can't stop a 16oz cup of water with a truckload of dry sponges and you want more of this crap?

Thats beautiful.

Any chance administration will go ahead and make the move on Dooley in the next 24-48hrs instead of waiting after the KY game?

There's folks on here that know more than I do, but who would they put in as interim coach? Nobody on the current staff would appear to be an upgrade as a head coach.

They would also have to deal with the rumors of a coaching search and I personally believe that they have already found their next coach ( Gruden ) and are working out the details behind the scene. I believe Dooley's here thru the Kentucky game. JMO - no sources.

You wish.

Today was the best possible outcome for the people running the show. We won, closely, while once again looking inept against a lesser opponent.....in a half full stadium.

We won.....so they can point to the record and remaining season as reason to keep him.

We looked inept.....so public opinion keeps trending the direction they want.

They are playing the situation and the media perfectly. The BOOM will be huge when it goes down.

Don't want to read previous posts, but I will say the attendance was 65,000 at best and all announcements/music echoed throughout the stadium. You could talk to anyone without raising your voice and be heard most of the time. Other than a few key moments when the game was in doubt or CP had the ball in his hands, there was no excitement at all. Pre-game we were invited to go to the letterman's area with former player friends - it was half full on homecoming. Unbelievable.

So if they don't hire Gruden or someone very near that competency and profile; this will be the new normal until a new hire proves he can get it done. I am really glad that everything has finally reached this point. It forces the hand of the UTAD to do something strong or fold their tent. It's time for some closure on the uncertainty.

People that say Gruden isn't going to be our next coach, you alright in the head? Lol
