Anyone booing the decision to kick a FG to end the half is an idiot.

Umm. The field goal gave us a lead only because Troy missed a PAT.

And guess what, this whole " FG/Go For It" debate is pointless. We're debating whether or not to take the sure lead against TROY AT HALFTIME IN NEYLAND STADIUM.

So ridiculous.

If Tennessee needs a pep-talk to beat a bunch of scrubs from podunk Alabama, than we've lost a whole lot more than this season.

The FG gave us the lead going into the half. That's something positive to build on during the halftime speech. "Troy scored 20 unanswered points and they're still losing." We get the ball back in the 3rd with a good chance to expand the lead. We weathered the best our opponent had to throw at us and we're still in the lead. Huge for morale.

Oh please, first of all everyone knew we were going to run the ball on third down- whyelse would Dooman worry about the clock. TRoy wase ready for it. Second, with our defense giving up 60 yards per draw play, we are gonna need all the points we can get. Thirdly, do they payoff at hafftime , based on who is ahead ? Who is ahead at halftime means absolutely zero.

There was nothing positive that happened in the first half. We are beat a team full of 1 & 2 star players by 1 point at half.

Please take that Dooley mentality and STFU.

Kick the FG Tyler Bray looked mad but I guess he should have got it done the first 3 plays. Actually.. he could have hit Hunter the fist one.

kicking that fg at the 1 yd. line shows no faith that your offense can get it done. Yeah, we made the field goal, but with the way our D is playing, we need touchdowns to win. I have no reason to believe that our D will stop them in the second half so yes, going for it on 4th and goal would have been the right call, imo.

If we had run the ball with only a few seconds to go before the half and the half expired with us running only one play, then we would have been on the 1 yard line with no points to show for it.
Also, lets imagine we lose by 2 points. Then we would have said "Dooley should have kicked the field goal from the 1 yard line and we would have won the game"

The FG wasnt the bad call. It was the Draw play on 3rd down from the five. And why are we not throwing a fade to Patterson or Hunter on 2nd down?? Didnt realize Vincent Dallas was our "Go To" guy in the red zone??!!

Good God man.
It was the one yard line.
Aj would have walked in.
That play finished Dooley. OK he was already done but that play put a little emphasis on his inability to coach.

Thanks to Bray for over throwing to his receivers on the goal line does not help one iota either. Bray keeps over throwing the receivers all day man, What's up with that s**t.

If you think anyone pissed off about TN having to kick a FG in order to have a lead against FREAKIN TROY is an Idiot, well I say you sould check yourself here! We Are TENNESSEE not freakin UT Chattanooga! We dont give up 350 yards in the first half against TROY!

Even if we do win the game- this staff has to go. This is absolutely ridiculous. LB stuck to blockers with super glue, poor tackling still , secondary doesnt have any idea who to cover in the 8 th game of the season. It is too much to bear. I left out NO pressure on Troys QB in passing situations. Just Pathetic.

No it was dumb.

Go for it: Risk: down by two, Reward up by 5
Chance of success (need less than 1 yd): high

FG Risk: down by two, Reward up by 1
Chance of success (Palardy kicking): Average

Play calling is what should have been booed......Shouldn't have to settle against Troy's defense..not with "the best" O-Line in the league and 3 first rounders like people like to talk about all the time....This is pitiful
