This team was able to compete with every team it played except Bama (and even that game was within reach mid-way through the third quarter). And it has done so with marginal coaching.

So, I disagree with you. I think this team is closer than a lot of people think, and a good coach can get them over the hump while continuing to add better talent. This is especially true if Bray and one of Patterson/Hunter return (and they all need another year in college IMO).

I would not expect an undefeated season next year, but 8 wins is attainable and maybe more.

Actually I agree! Just meaning that starting 0-5 the last three years has not been competitive. Regardless of how much we lost by. There are several guys on this team that will be in the pros.

I agree except secondary talent.. And that's what's been losing these games.. They're being exploited... And some more bad luck losing Lanier and Randolph.. We just didn't have the experience/talent back there to lose our best corner and then our best safety..

the o-line has been solid all this year,getting better every game...
but next year there will be gaping holes for RB's,even better
protection for the QB's...our weak link the last few years will now be
a strength,and when the trenches are your strength,there isn't a damn thing the other

if most of the jr's return,there will be no year 0 with Gruden...
