This keeps me safe and America as the superpower of the world. One of the main things that progresses society and technology is military expenditures. World War II is a great example of that.

There are also numerous examples of wasteful military spending on unneeded projects that did absolutely nothing but line the pockets of connected industrial interests and cost the taxpayer enormous amounts of money. Military spending has an incredibly negative impact on the economy.
I couldn't care less about being a 'superpower' of the world if it means exhorbitant taxation, an emerging police state, and increasingly unrestrained centralized power.
In fact the idea of being and maintaining a superpower status is a very harmful thing for restraining the size of government and for a free society.
Stoops has won a NC at Oklahoma,that would be considered a big game....I don't recall what year, but I think he it was FSU that OU beat in the BCS championship.

College football is difficult, but since 2001, you can count on Oklahoma and Georgia losing two football games a year, and sometimes to teams they shouldn't lose to.
