I think it is obvious he has hit a wall. Change of scenery would do him good, and I have heard from several people that his relationship with the powers that be isn't what it once was.

Some in the fanbase are saying he can't win big games and therefore will never contend for a NC.

This keeps me safe and America as the superpower of the world. One of the main things that progresses society and technology is military expenditures. World War II is a great example of that.

There are also numerous examples of wasteful military spending on unneeded projects that did absolutely nothing but line the pockets of connected industrial interests and cost the taxpayer enormous amounts of money. Military spending has an incredibly negative impact on the economy.

I couldn't care less about being a 'superpower' of the world if it means exhorbitant taxation, an emerging police state, and increasingly unrestrained centralized power.

In fact the idea of being and maintaining a superpower status is a very harmful thing for restraining the size of government and for a free society.

Just spoke to a buddy of mine doing some subcontracting down in Dothan Alabama. Troy fans are coming up to him and telling him they are glad they are playing against a Dooley led team vs a Gruden led team

I think there is a lot of truth to this. It would take a lot of courage to leave Oklahoma though if he felt this was the case.

It is a double edged sword. It drives the economy and product innovation. It does increase the size and scope of govt participation in the economy.

Stoops has won a NC at Oklahoma, that would be considered a big game....I don't recall what year, but I think he it was FSU that OU beat in the BCS championship.

He has won a big game, and he beats Texas ALOT. However, he does seem (like Mark Richt) to have one or two games a year where they disappoint. College football is difficult, but since 2001, you can count on Oklahoma and Georgia losing two football games a year, and sometimes to teams they shouldn't lose to.

I have been trying to stay away from this thread as I don't believe Gruden is coming here but Iam curious if spring brok vol has commented anymore on his prediction?

I guess I should have a working knowledge of literally everything. Yep, that's totally logical. Let me know if you need some tutoring for the ACT.

Well I hold one degree from the university whose team this website is dedicated to. So, if I decided to obtain 31 more (to match your total) I may need to retake the ACT, in which case I will take you up on your offer. :hi:

In other words, he has a tendency to do less with more.

Yeah I think he's a good coach. Have relatives in the area and they're saying it's rumblings. I'm not arguing he's not won, just relaying what they are e-mailing.

I think that was USC that pounded OU. Wanna say that was the same year Auburn went undefeated too.

Sorry, read your post wrong. Thought it said it was FSU who beat OU in the NC. My bad.

Look, lets just agree to disagree and get back to Gruden, cool?

Yeah, but I think we could tell Oklahoma fans about being careful what you take for granted. Those consistent 9-10+ win seasons aren't looking too bad from where we currently sit.

Plus, how quickly they forget where that program was before Stoops rode into town.

Has there been any discussion about Gruden's campaigns with Corona and Hooters in terms of what UT's position on that would be? I don't mind to go look it up if it's already been discussed if someone might point me to the right thread. tia

Probably already covered since I'm 2 pages late, but it has been talked about in terms of being one reason for the delay of any announcements. It's a legit question that can be worked out if both parties are interested enough in doing so. I have maintained that the interest exists and am very confident they will be worked out if they are a potential hiccup.

I have zero info in this area tbh. What I do know is that no UT coach that I'm aware of has had any personal endorsement deals. Doing endorsements for entities that have a corporate partnershil with the university are not individual endorsements.

Sadly, I don't believe you.
