Let it out

I can't too loudly b/c my hubby thinks I'm already nuts.

I just looked on the 247 site and didn't see anything about that.

Took some time but I figured this thing out.

Here is all it says.

Jon Gruden is looking more unlikely at Tennessee. He appears more likely to land in the NFL...

- Bobby Petrino appears to be a serious candidate at Tennessee, at least among some very powerful boosters...

In order to read it you go to Football Rumor Mill (fbrumormill) on Twitter , find the tweet regarding a bunch of schools that may have openings, click on the story and IT DOES take you to 247, just not govols247...whew.

Nope, I have officially given up on the Dooley. Just don't believe the Gruden is the savior either...Unlesssssss..he brings a kick a$$ DC and D staff with him.

Not only is Gruden a great coach, he is also well respected and recruits know who and what he is from seeing him allover ESPN and imo, most of the elite players will want to play for him. I don't have any worries he will bring an amazing staff with him.

Go look up the St pete times "the armchair quarterback" Tampa Bay Bucs forums and search the archives from 03-07 and see how great you think he is. I don't think he is a "Great coach" and neither do most Buc fans.

I've got you covered:

Dear lord, if you are listening, we would like Raheem Morris to join Gruden as defensive coordinator. If you agree, give us absolutely no sign whatsoever.

Great. We're all set.

Welcome to the resistance. I deleted my post before your reply. The Gruden thread has been fairly positive and I didn't want to mess with the vibe. If he comes I think he would have a great staff on that side of the ball and he would handle the offense.

About the NFL

The only thing that worries me a bit is the Philly Job. Now Lurrie has said that as long as he's the owner, Reid will be the coach. Still, Jon "Deuce" Gruden, CJG's son is a freshman at Layfayette (sp?) College, a DII school in Pennsylvania. Reid has had a heck of a run there and a terrible year personally with his son's passing, maybe he's ready to walk away.

Still, I have a hard time believing that walking into a situation with Vick would be heavenly bliss. Who knows.

Even the greatest coaches have bad stretches. See Belichick before he got to NE. Gruden had some great years in Oakland and Tampa both. I bet if he wanted to go back to Tampa, their fans wouldnt complain. Also its not just about coaching its about recruiting and Gruden will be a helluva recruiter.
