I don't totally get this argument. So his buyout this year is 5 mil. Or you can pay him his yearly salary next year plus a 4 mil buy out assuming that he doesn't work out. Which I think at this point is a safe assumption considering the schedule we have next year. How much are you really saving by giving him another year? Plus how much in ticket sales and revenue are you going to lose because there will be very little excitement going into next year? Cut ties while you can, IMO.

Mike Gundy to Arkansas would be a good hire for them. I like this hire more than Strong.

This loses all credibility mentioning Gundy in any job. He is coaching the university he attended.

Agree 110%. Safe approach from espn. I don't figure they're as excited about replacing Gruden as we are about replacing Dooley (w/Gruden)

I agree next year's schedule doesn't look any better with Dooley coaching next year. The fire Dooley fan base is loud as ever, former UT Players have stated Dooley must go, etc. This is the time to cut ties with Dooley and move on.
