You think Bray has developed? How about Hunter? How about special teams? No. No. No. Shut it with the "being competitive" whiny s***. You know what those 5 teams think of Tennessee?..."Oh you mean that other Tennessee school"

yes.. bray has developed.

Hunter has how many starts AND is coming off a major injury?

Special teams are much better, I no longer cringe every time we kick off thinking they are going to take it to the house on us. Opposing teams field position is not nearly as bad as what it was last year..

Even palardy seems to be coming around, still has not been tested on a long field goal etc.. but at least we made all of our extra points.

And those 5 teams, minus maybe bama.. all thought they were going to lose at some point in those games, and they respect our offense.

We just need to get our defensive problems fixed, and the Vols will be back in the upper ranks of the SEC, where they belong...

Now the question is.. Can Dooley be the coach that does it?

I honestly do not know.. I hope he can, to vindicate himself against all of these attacks from people who can't see anything but W & L, even given the circumstances he started with.

But if not and Hart goes a different direction after the season, Then I will support the next coach instead of attacking him.. that I know for sure

Some of the Athletic Directors on this board post as if Dooley took over a top 20 team and proceeded to go out and lose to a bunch of subpar teams.

No, but he has had 3 years with zero wins agains top 25 and SEC Teams not Vandy, Ole Miss. KY has a win against him, so I excluded them

Well maybe you are right. We need to have a heart to heart with Vandy and ask them how they cope with getting their butts kicked every year by better coached SEC teams. You know once upon a time, we were one of the "Big Boys" of the SEC.

3 years of starting 0-5 in the SEC. You do realize that KENTUCKY has NEVER done that. Right?

Only Us and Vandy.

How is that okay in your mediocre accepting minds????

I don't want him fired because he can't beat Alabama in Year 3. I want him fired because his team came out and looked like crap after an off week against a far less talented Miss State team. Four SEC wins in three years is unforgivable.

Yes. The armchair AD's act like we had a great team when Dooley took over. And he lost to fcs teams the last three years. Not the case. Other way around actually.

I wonder how many people are wishing they had never called for Fulmers head in 2008? Would the program be in a better position had the fans just taken a chill pill?

Well, by all means, let us not forgive him.

Loser mentality is strong with many on this board. Enjoy losing if Dooley is retained.

Your missing my point. In year 2 the team had enough talent to cruise past KY. They were outcoached and lost to a WR playing QB.

The team has way more talent in year 3 and fail to be MS State after a bye.

chill your Dooley crush and tell me we should have lost those games.

That is not a point. Those are your opinions. I don't have crush on a man. That is gay.

Dooley should have already been fired. The players know where this is headed. The recruits know where this is headed. The fans see where all this is headed. Everyday Hart leaves Dooley looking like a hooker in church, we fall behind in the SEC. The man just does not belong as the HC of a place like Tennessee. Take a look at our current recruiting class. It is hanging out at the bottom of the SEC, much like our record. It's only going to get worse, the longer this takes to play out.

Here's how I look at it.

Average Teams win against teams they are supposed to beat and lose against teams they should lose to. In all reality, that's what we are now, an Average Team.

Believe it or not, we were a Below Average Team the last couple of years. Dooley has improved the talent, but has not done much in the win/losses column.

IMO, we should be favored in every single one of the upcoming games. If we win them all, CDD gets a chance in 2013 to show if he can pull a win against someone we're not favored to beat.

Lose one of the next 4, and it's time to start looking for a new Coaching Staff that can help us take that next step.

Has any other team ever played their first 5 SEC games against all top 15 teams?

You do remember we were favored to beat UF by 3 right? I guess that one does not fit into what your trying to say.

So now we're blaming Hunter's performance on the fact that he's coming off major knee surgery??? I seem to recall homers a plenty screaming at me in August that he was 100% and will blow everyone away this year, and to just stop being so negative. Were you one of those? Hmm?
