just a quick thought...

interested in feedback. i know a lot of us already have our minds made up regarding dools' future. truth is, it will be hard to let him go.

things may be in motion,, but none of us know facts. vasf members tire of dools' incessant smart assedness and throwing players under the bus. that shi? may fly when your winning. but it is clear he is waaay underachieving.

its gonna be tough, sense wise we are over budget and its a brand new staff. if they win out we give em another year.

i know you guys want change. hell i do too. hes not the answer. but logically if he wins out. he stays, if he loses. fat kid.

fire away.

Huh? The players deserve better. The donors deserve better. The University of Tennessee can't afford to keep him and it deserves better. Maybe I missed the sarcasm. We've gone 0-5 in SEC play to start out the past 3 seasons...Fulmer was fired for less than that...even he deserves better.

I thought we said last week he had to "win out" to stay. It's not just a restless fan base, the enterprise is losing money

its true. we are losing money but dools buyout is near 4 mill.

im sayin we may have to endure another torturous year if he wins out.

i want nothing more than for this team to win. and while i give a surpreme vote of no confidence to dools, i just dont see hart firing him

what we want to happen and what will happen are two hugely different things

How Dooley compares to coaches that were brought in during similar circumstances and were still considered to be failures at their schools.

Ed Orgeron, Mississippi (2005-2007) 10-25
Sylvester Croom, Mississippi State (2004-2008) 21-38
Ron Zook, Florida (2002-2004) 23-14
Mike Shula, Alabama (2003-2006) 10{*26}-23
Lou Holtz, South Carolina (1999-2004) 33-37

Derek Dooley, Tennessee (2010-2012) 14-19

I think the fans will speak volumes with their money--as it has been said take a look at the attendance for the Troy game this week. Coming off losing to Florida, attendance was not good at all for Akron. If it looks a little worse this week that's just another thing that hurts Dooley and should speak to the administration.

its tough to see an already conservatibe ad and fanbase make a progressive move.

just dont see us rehashing same mistakes as when clawson was fired. he at least deserved a second year

Dude dooley struggles to beat teams like vandy and kentucky. If dooley stays after this year its because hart is truly in love with alabama and is enjoying driving our program further in the ground. Dooley is the worst coach in tennessee history.

brother im not a dooley sympathizer. im simply forecasting based off experience.

hes not the answer. i completely agree. i do think 3-4 switch was premature, and if we stayed 4-3 with wilcox wed be 8 or 9 wins.

but we have not shown any improvement. heres to hoping that IF a change is made, albeit highly doubtful guys it will be THE longterm solution.

what im saying is that Whoever it is better win and stay longterm otherwise this program will be in serious trouble, especially if we dole out big money as the youngbase wants

If Dooley is worth UT keeping around another year, name 3 FBS schools that would hire him.

I can't think of one - I am being honest & objective.

Who in their right mind would hire this guy to be their head coach?

youre missing the pt man. dooley isnt the answer. were just not in a financial position to make a change. the unknown is hart.

this program has known too much tumult and another change HAS to be the right change. can you honestly say that Gruden will be THE guy? longterm? or another fizzle?

there are coaches like patterson who have a collegiate record to backup. and longevity to boot.

Our biggest booster just bought the Cleveland Browns for $1 Billion.

Money is not an issue if we get the guy the boosters want.

Believe it or not, we are not making a hire solely based on Athletic Dept budget.

CDD is not going anywhere, at least until he has his prayer meeting with Hart after the season. Even then, I expect Dooley to remain at Tennessee unless another school offers him a better job for more money. So, unless anybody has information that can be verified, please don't bother to post rumors!
