Much like Griff was in 08 with CPF. I think sometimes these guys let their persoanl affection get in the way here. I think Rucker likes DD as they have had a friendly banter for 3 years, and that's fine, but you cant let it get in way of making objective commentary

LOL. Why would anybody pay to read what a company that hired Rucker says about anything, much less football? I don't get it.

Anybody that just casually watches the game knows that the UT offense is better than last year and the UT defense is worse than last year, so they are not getting better. The teams that beat the crap out of them last year are not as good this year as they were last year. Even Bama is down slightly from last year. Look at all the top draft picks they had. They are just that much better than anybody else this year because the overall team is playing the Saban system better than ever.

The running game problems have been addressed; Patterson/Hunter are weapons; and Z-Rogers, you know, the one most posters crucified for the last few years, has proven all the idiots wrong. So the offense is better even with the bonehead plays of Bray on occasion. The D is on track to be the worst in UT history - repeat - the worst statistically in UT history. So how is it even possible to think that the overall team is getting better. That is ludicrous.

If you accept the popular opinion that Hart will not fire Dooley until he has his man, then there are good reasons for optimism.

This is a big decision for Gruden and I am sure many things factor into his decision. He has been wrapped up in this weeks MNF at least since Saturday and I would not expect him to make his decision except during his down time which I would assume to be Tues thru Thurs. So I would speculate that if he makes the call this week it will be between now and Friday. So I think that all we know right now is that he did not decide last week. I know nothing, but I can speculate with the best of them.

Wow, you've lost that much confidence in Gruden coming here because Dooley wasn't excused today? I've yet to hear anyone (other than here on VN) waiver in the slightest bit about Gruden coming here.

No actually, it is something I have wanted to do as a career for a while, and I had the opportunity to take advantage of chance to get on air. I work with a former UT player who played the same time and position as Swain and he put me in touch.

you missed the part where i said "if." if dooley actually gets fired, its not going to be in the middle of the season.

John Gruden is coming to TN per my source and will not take a salary as he has asked that it be donated to a charity. He just wants UT to be successful. I know the guy who sells the steak burgers up on food row on Gameday. Guy has been selling those awesome burgers for 16 years so he knows more then Hart who has been there for almost 2years....IMO.
