Unless the "insider" is Dave Hart at this point, my ears are closed. I am as disappointed as almost everyone I know.

Maybe I am being Debbie Downer here, so get your Gifs ready, but I think no signal today of anything makes Gruden a long-shot. With all the smoke out there he either said "No", or a lot of people that bought into the same rumors spread them like wildfire, and not on here only.

I am not saying it means he is not coming, but one of the aforementioned things happened. Nothing else makes sense. I am no better than 50-50 at this point.

My post was entirely a joke. I know you dont, was just being (or trying to) humorous. Many people I know talk about his bad luck, and I just think that is a silly excuse, hence my sarcastic post. Sorry I didnt make it clear

You may be right, but of the Vol fans I have talked to almost all want a change and that was mostly before the SC loss.

while I agree on the 50-50; you have to admit there is a lot of chatter all around at this point as to him at least being at play. IIRC I don't remember there being this much talk around Gruden in the media in past coaching searches he was supposedly tied to .

I appreciate those that shared their information - regardless of the outcome. We still have time to find the right coach, hopefully Gruden is that coach.

JG may have turned us down this weekend. I don't know and haven't heard. I would like to think Hart would dismiss the rumors if he had though, which leaves room for a little hope on my part. Purely speculation though. I haven't heard anything since Saturday
