I know that we say this a lot but the FF is a complete mess. I know it's hard to be a Vol fan right now but dang can't we be civil with our disagreements?

Other than scanning for a few mins here and there I have stayed out of there. I think I posted in the gruden thread once last night and it didn't refer to Gruden. I was sooooo pissed off when the game was over. All I could think about were the so called fans pulling for us to lose.

I am sorry but no real fan should ever pull for their team to lose. That's just sorry.

I agree. I think everybody has Gruden fever though. I was talking to my wife last night about the whole sitiuation.(even though she has no clue about football). I am not trying to make a case for Dooley but many people forget the state of the program when he took the job. Fulmer adn let teh ship start to sink adn Kiffing finished it off. Nobody wanted the job. There aint no telling how many coaches were offered the job before him.(Granted, Hamilton wouldn't open up the checkbook...) We should all be thankful that Dooley steped in and at least stablized the ship. We have decent depth(still not enough) and have at least been competitive in every game except Bama. We are now moving in the right direction even if it is at a snails pace. Like I said, I'm not trying to make a case for him. But he deserves better. The next coach will have alot better foundation to build upon and alot of that thanks needs to be to Dooley.

I think the Gruden fever is a pipe dream. I will be truely surprised if he actually comes to coach here. Gruden is a good coach but he has never really coached college ball. How is he going to handle recuiting and everything that goes along with it.

As far as Dooley goes, UT fans should appericate the things that he has done for UT. Has he been the best coach, not at all but he took what was a sinking ship with not a lot of talent and added talent to the ship and got them going in the right direction. I think part of the reason it's taking so long is Dooley is recruiting not only on talent but on character of the player. Plus, it's hard to get a kid to come to UT right now if they have offers from Bama or LSU. Most players want to win and win now.

I'm not saying that it is. Just saying Dooley deserves more respect than he's getting. He took a no win sitiuation and has managed to slightly improve the stability of the program. Couldn't really expect much more in my opinion.(which doesn't count for much)

I don't understand the argument that Dooley took over a no win situation. With UT's resources I can understand it for 1 year. It is year 3 if you don't buy that year 0 crap. Something has to change. Either way I will be all VOL next Saturday, and next year, and the next......

We had no depth, recruiting was down. We were basically in a dumpster fire after kiffing left. It UT was such a great job at the time then why did we get turned down by everybody and their brother adn have to settle for Dooley? I am not saying Dooley has done a Great job or that he deserves to continue on. Just saying he deserves a little more respect and gratitude than what he's getting.

I understand what you are saying, but its hard to be gracious when we shell out $$$$$ for loss after loss. I go to a couple games per year, and the last win I went to was when we beat sc 4 years ago.

There had to be a reason why Dooley was the only one to take the job. I think things were worse off than most people realize. UT has great tradition, great faclities, and excellent resources for a coach to be successful, so there had to be a reason why no coach with any credit to their name wouldn't take the job.

I do agree that he deserves more respect. Anybody that does the best they can deserves respect.

GSV, what does it take to transmit video to a projector over a wireless connection?

VGA, S-video, or RCA cables in the back of the projector. My brother inlaw gave me an old projector that has a pretty good picture and I am thinking about hanging it up but don't want to run long wires through the walls/attic.
