I have resigned to the fact that this is likely all a bunch of BS, like every other time. I will be happy if we can get Strong.

If Hart waits too long to hire a coach; his seat should warm up a lot. He can't pussy foot this one.

It is a shame because not only are you discrediting the ones who might truly have some 'inside' information, but you are making the rest of 'Hire Gruden' crowd look like idiots. People are flaming Rucker on Twitter about him saying no press conference because of these rumors, but again it looks like he is right.

All I want is Dooley fired, and a coach like Gruden hired. Still this is a rumor sub-forums so I guess we have no choice but there is a point that we are going to come to soon where no one believes anything.

There are 3 or 4 'insiders' on here tops.

You just have to wade through the BS to find them.

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good about everything.

It really doesn't mean anything if we don't have an announcement today. Dooley is done. Folks are feeling pretty good about our chances with Gruden. It probably is not a done deal at this point, but we are in a better position than we have ever been with him.

But, even if our hopes are dashed and we don't get Gruden, it is important to step back and look a the big picture. It appears that there is the will at the top to bring in a coach that will return us to our rightful place in the CFB world.

The next coach, regardless of who it is, will have a very good roster to build on. We will start winning games, and winning makes everything better. Ultimately, that is what we all want.

Still, though, I think we may get Gruden this time. I was in Nashville this weekend with some friends who are all Vandy alum, and they were all talking as if it was common knowledge that we were hiring Gruden. I don't think any of them are connected, but it was kind of weird to hear them talk about it like that.

Of course not.

A week ago it was a "done deal" and terms had been agreed upon. Now, apparently Hart isn't even in talks with Gruden LOL.

This thread is no better than a juicy soap opera on daytime TV. Pure speculation and excitement. Masturbation of the mind.
