Interesting discussion on another site- can Gruden recruit before the end of the season if we name an interim? I don't know the answer to that and would guess that he couldn't. I just assumed he could. Meyer got a waiver last year because of their situation.

Now I'm beginning to think that we may not know until the end of the year. Frankly it doesn't help recruiting all that much if a decision is made now. I think I am starting to believe the info that Gruden is interested and may have verbally agreed but it may take a while.

Just put 2 and 2 together and realized my mom probably went to high school with Mrs. Gruden. But alas she didn't really know her. So there went my inside source.

Hope we get that presser tomorrow.

I won't panic. But it means (IMO) that Hart hasn't made a decision. I don't care what anyone says, if he wins four straight, the probability of him getting fire drops significantly.

This is actually the first time I have been on VN at the same time as Duckman, and he just doesn't seem too bright.:blink:

1 I dont post a lot because I don't know a lot other than what I read and hear on the radio

2 because everytime someone posts something half the people here blast the person that posts it as a liar or jack wagon.

3 most likely because thats what it is. my information comes mainly from 1 source. a family friend, they are very close lipped because of job security. our kids play ball together so I spent sat drilling them with friendly questions and info I have read from volnation. after a while they confirmed most of what I said and offered other info freely. after reading tonights post by skeeter that he had received two posts about a presser, I texted them to see if they had heard anything and while we were talking they received a text stating 7 yrs 40 mil that someone from the office had forwarded them. it also said this was one of 3 offers that was made to gruden and we could expect it announced at mondays normal 12pm press conference. This is simply what I was told and believe to be true but like you, until it is official, it is unofficial. My only concern is that someone said that this had been tweeted earlier in the day which gives me concern that they have been frwded this also. But skeet received a text by two people regarding dooley firing in 48hrs so it seems to line up since he also works there.

On a scale of one to disappoint, I have a feeling there will be plenty around noon tomorrow.

I hope we figure this out soon though.

I could still see him at practice tomorrow and fired later in the day. I am pretty sure any scenario would include him finishing up the season, so unlikely he would call of a day of prep. I will be sure to tune in at 12 though.

I don't see a scenario where Gruden is locked in and not announced. There's just no upside to approaching it that way.

The longer this drags out the less chance there is of this being pulled off IMO.

And Arkansas having the deal done since spring... that's some good stuff right there.

The more I think about it the more I agree. If your correct he would tell the team at practice

They could announce his firing/ resignation and he'll continue to coach the rest of the season. Why wouldn't he keep running practices?
