FACT: Monte Kiffin took the Glazers' lack of spending, lack of putting new players in the system and on the team, and STILL put a top TEN defense on the field. Gru-bage took the SAME THING and wasn't able to break the top HALF of the NFL.

So that's why they were playing Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer and Shaun King over the years while the defense had Simeon Rice, Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Ronde Barber, John Lynch etc.

Why is that an issue??? Shows you Gru-bage's eye for talent compared to MK. Can't WAIT to see what he does while recruiting for Tennessee!!! [sarcasm off]

Nice. First time I have seen those two guys since they played here. I believe, or rather hope that Gruden is the guy. But if he isn't, I would be happy with another big name coach coming here to resurrect this program. This fan base needs something to be proud of. Derek Dooley is not that something.

I don't care how bad he says gruden is. His name alone will get the top recruits here. When u have more talent across the board makes it that much easier to coach.

Look how awesome Monte Kiffin has been at USC. You do realize their offense is what makes them good, right? Monte Kiffin's defense has been a pile of **** there.

This is where Hart needs to earn his money. Its been stated by many posters Hart wont part ways with Dooley unless he can get a home run coach. Lets see if its true, we don't need a Taggart or Petrino.

From someone in te football forum

DeerPark & BabyVol on TOS have stated this morning that Dooley is out. Gruden has been given 3 options/contracts to consider from UT. They are not saying Gruden will be hired, but Dooley will not coach Tennessee in 2013.

If you follow any of these boards, those 2 guys are a couple of the best at being reliable. Better days ahead.

Wait, wait, wait, nope. Illegal comparison, offense. You can't compare college to NFL, at least that's what your fellow Grudenites have maintained throughout this thread when it comes to Sab(t)an, Spurrier, etc.
