You were the one citing oversimplified statistics to blame a player for the losses. I just pointed it out.

By your logic, Archie Manning would have been a terrible NFL QB.

I agree that Bray and all the Vols need to play better. Bray threw an INT with 5:55 remaining and the last one with 0:15 remaining. The first of these was a dagger to our chances.

But the turnover when you are down by a TD with 15 seconds left in the game should not be listed as one of your reasons for Bray losing the game. I suppose he should have drove the length of the field with only 15 seconds on the clock for a game-tying TD with no time outs.

Also, don't confuse me as a fan that believes all the Bray hype either. Many people that post on here over-exaggerate their position. I was just making a point that the losses shouldn't be blamed entirely on one person. I guess I'm just clueless.

We have one team; we don't have an offense and a defense. Sure the D has had its problems but the O could help with more prduction. That's not pointing the finger at anyone--it's a team game and I hope our guys keep that in focus. If we are going to beat the Cocks, we have to be solid in the running game, the passing game, in stopping the run and the pass. Need good ST play as well.

I'm not here to bash players who wear the power T;however, you have to be blind to think Bray or Hunter are first round picks. Hunter looks like he doesn't care somedays out there, and a little pressure and Bray is done. These perceptions are facts. You can't drop wide open passes or over throw wide open WR and expect to go in the first round. Losers find a way to lose guys.

So let me ask this question.

Is the D on the field too much because:

A) They can't stop anyone
B) Our Offense can't move the chains
C) Combination of both

I see people trying to defend the Defense by saying our Offense can't move the chains. But honestly, our Defense seems to not be able to stop anyone after the first... 3 or so series.

I am inclined to go with C.

You know what would be fan-freakin-tastic? For us to stop attacking one another...I know, I know..have been guilty of that as well. I, for one, can't say the offense has carried us nor can I say they the defense has ruined us. IMO, they both have waaaay underachieved and mistakes are on both side..nay... all sides of the ball.

Right now, Bray may not even be a draft pick. He is a mental case with respect to his game at present.

brays coach and he himself have said his 4th quarter play is terrible. what does simms and crompton days have to do with this year? is this how you judge players by how they compare to other failures? what a winner. please watch the games before posting please.

the problem with Bray is when he feels a little heat...he flings the ball out of bounds...every announcer and opposing coach knows this....in the Ga game he could have WALKED 10 yards for a first down ..what does he do ..fling it out of bounds....he may go to the NFL...not first round...but he'll be carrying a clipboard....

Bray is a turnover machine lately. So besides the defense stinking, he's doing his part to suck it up also..

I would rank the reasons we've been losing as follows:

1) Poor Secondary Play
2) Turnovers
3) Coaching - Delayed adjustment times and play calling in certain instances
