No. He's a jerk due to many other reasons.

Question, and a serious question. When this all comes to a conclusion, whatever that conclusion is, can you and some of the other people who know people share what this looks like from watching it happen to an extent.

Also some of the stuff that Dooley did to make him such a jerk. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but I am honestly intrigued by all of this. Especially the Dooley being a jerk stuff. Thanks in advance.

Just for the record, I am not interested in dissenting opinions. I don't care what has happened in the past. I don't care who knows who. Frankly, I am not even interested in the truth at this point. I just want to come to this thread to be told over and over that Jon Gruden will be our next coach.Lie to me if you have to.

Have you not been reading the thread--many have already said it is a done deal.

Some....absolutely. Names....absolutely not.

Some number crunching that I just did...

Going off a $55/ticket avg cost (9 games not sold out) & announced seating there has been $5.36 million worth of empty seats in Neyland this season & last. That does not take into consideration the lost concession or souvenir profits from those 97,374 fans.

Anything else I hear will not be shared by me publicly on this forum but rather privately with the couple on here I talk to in life. If they choose to post it, then so be it. nothing but my opinions from now on.

Too much going on in my life to deal with the bashing and was just trying to help the conversation.

Later.

Don't let the nega-grudes get you. They are butt-hurt and confused. OG4L!!!!!

The only thing Gruden is breaking down is a 16 ounce steak that Jimmy Haslam bought him after being interviewed for the Browns HC job.

It's easy to believe this, but it has been brought up time and again that in his current role for ESPN, he is granted access to players, coaches, and even is invited to sit in staff meetings for NFL teams.

Out of curiosity, do you think any NFL team would be ok with that knowing that Gruden could be coaching against them in as little as 3 weeks?

Or do you think it is likely that when he signed his contract, he was prohibited from accepting an NFL coaching job for a given period of time?

I mean it sure wasn't a big deal when the Patriots and Jets were filming practices, but I'm sure they don't mind letting old Jon into their practices with the thought that he could be hired by an NFL team any day now.

I dont see any of that mattering. Many guys go from coaching to the booth and back to coaching.

As far as the ESPN contract goes, Dooley has a contract. Is that going to stop him from being fired?

Contracts mean nothing when you have millions in the bank.
