You are basing this on your idea of what is right and wrong not from the perspective of an AD that is under inferno type heat over a losing coach he didn't hire. Under his tenure Vandy and Kentucky have a better SEC records than UT. People will say whatever, but its 99% done the 1% is a signature. I have not said this once yet but book it. What i was waiting on to say that happened today. Something extraordinary would have to happen for it not to happen. This has way more smoke than the Shannon deal that blew up, from VN and people personally. Believe it or not, it's happening, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the info coming from every direction.

I don't fantasize about Gruden. I think that he will be a huge boon to Tennessee, but I don't have wet dreams about him. I just find your story highly dubious considering your grammar, which reflects poorly on your education. Which puts into doubt that you would be of high enough financial standing to afford seats within earshot of Haslam and the like. But that is just me and my opinion.

Where did this Fulmer as interim crap come from - that is the most horrible idea I can imagine. Let him in and he wouldn't want to leave. He has some success and others wouldn't want him to leave. You only let him back if you intend to keep him and I hope no one is thinking that.

I remember when the whole Saban fiasco was erupting the same way this is. Hell, he had to go on national television and lie his ass off about NOT GOING TO BE THE COACH AT ALABAMA!

But as I remember it, it was actually the TN game that sealed Shula's fate...remember 4th and 19-Clausen to Witten?

After that loss, Saban's agent called Mal Moore and said if there was an opening, Nick Saban would be interested in the job. That was after the third Saturday in October. Irony? Bama fans were screaming for information...JUST LIKE WE ARE DOING NOW. But they never heard an official peep out of Saban til the season was over. Rumors were swarming...JUST LIKE THEY ARE HERE.

I've got this feeling that our coach will be who we want it to be...but we may have a gut wrenching experience in front of us before we ever get an official word. After all...this is Dave Hart. He has an experience that makes a perfect model for him....

December 21 will come early if there's a press conference Monday and Dave hart announces that Dooley has been given a 1 year extension and a cost of living raise.
