I just can't quite agree with that. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I still think that Bama game could have been very different had we just kept the ball on 3rd and fourth and 1 instead of throwing it deep on 3rd down. We had great field position after a good punt by Palardy and good play by our defense including a sack. Then Lane started off the drive with a 9 yard run. If we had just kept the ball moving on that drive and brought the game within 6 in the middle of the 3rd quarter with the crowd getting into it and Bama facing there first test of the season who know what would have happened (It certainly would not have been the first time that a home underdog pulled out a win in a similar scenario). Instead Alabama gets a big 4th down stop momentum swings, Bray throws an interception on the next drive and the rest is history. I understand the score was not any closer, and some of that has to do with coaching, but this team was closer. Three years ago, I did not think that we had any chance going into the game nor did I during the game. This year, I expected us to be competitive before the game and with the way we came out to start the second half thought that we might pull it out for a little bit.

The good news is that things are not as bad as they seem with the team's chemistry and such. Big game this weekend!

What you got prediction wise OCI? I still have faith in the boys, but I think it's going to have to be high-scoring for us to pull this one out. I say 38-35 Vols.
