I firmly believe that if he was fired this week and an interim was named that the team would play harder....No one wants to play for Dooley and that's evident..Bring Gruden in and see how hard this team plays for him next year and on.

I totally agree. After reading yesterday about him trying to get his money and quit last year, a part of me believes that yesterday's poking at Hart was another miserible attempt to get fired then and quit. He is a professional quitter, nothing else.

And it rubs off on the team, as in the 2nd half of many games..I guarandamntee you this team won't quit under Gruden.:clapping:

I agree, he should'nt coach this weekend. Fire him now, let Chaney and Sal get the game plans together and name Jay Graham Interim HC.

Do we have an Associate or Assistant Head Coach titled on the team? I would think that would be the interim, though I think CJG would do an admirable job as well.

Is it possible that Hart is thinking about the possibility of firing Dooley with cause and thus exempt the university from paying the buyout? Otherwise why throw some of this negative Dooley information out there to drag his name through the mud? His coaching alone speaks loud enough to warrant a firing no need to air even more dirty laundry. I guess it could also be a pre emptive strike just in case Dooley won out.

No, I seriously, seriously doubt it.

I think he's prepping the surface. If everybody has a bad taste, then it will go over smoother amongst the minions when he has the presser.

JMO I think Hart is trying to unify the fan base and the boosters by airing this. He is making certain that no one out there is in support of keeping this guy. His record is grounds for firing him, but even as early as prior to the Bama game you heard some saying there are boosters in favor of keeping him around one more year. Haven't heard that this week.

Well said.

Very plausible

I think Sal may have that title, but with the defensive struggles we are having, his hands are pretty full. A RB coach is a little less involved thru the game. And the reason I say Graham is that I think it was said a day or two ago on this thread that Sal's and Jay's contracts would carry over to the next staff. Jay being a former vol is probably carrying more respect with the players now.JMO:hi:
