to be fair here, a middle age man should have more accomplishments than a 20 year old. I see both sides of it, but the fact remains that leadership is earned. You have to earn the trust of players to earn the ability to lead. IMO, DD hasnt grasped this. Flashing a ring from being a position coach in Saban's staff doesnt blow away the players. Mark Bradley (no disrespect to the man, just making a point) has a ring from being on a title staff but wouldnt be able to act like Saban either. There are scores of people who would fit the criteria.

I don't get all the fuss over OCI and his new thread personally. Yes this thread existed and he created a new thread. But i'd guess there are plenty that have stopped venturing in this thread simply because of late the same ole stories are being rehashed. Everyone can go back and look to see who brought the Gruden stories to light (most already know) if they choose to so its not exactly like he can claim credit. He just put it out there in a way that perhaps more people would notice it. Bottom line is what he said and what has been said in here all points to Gruden is our top choice and thats music to my ears.

I don't care about e-cred because I have no say so in the matter. I appreciate hearing the news before it becomes news but in the end the true credit should go to Hart and the boosters that make it happen (assuming it does). Some of the fussing has come from a few of the originators of the story that started the Gruden thread fiesta though, which kinda implies they want a little credit for it. You however, we know you just ride coattails so we pay you little attention :p

To clarify, I hope you realize I am just poking fun at you with that in regards to what Fonz?? said. or maybe it was Oddball...Golfballs...whatever. I don't know either way about you nor does it really matter to me I just enjoy the thread and post randomly.
