I sat just behind the offensive bench during the Florida game and paid particular attention to Bray on the sidelines when things began to go south.

What I saw was damning, IMO, and epitomized this season, thus far. No fire. No leadership. Head down. He had already lost the game.

...and before anyone says anything, I'm not saying he doesn't care, but I AM saying he can't handle adversity.

Waiting for someone better and a possibility that we have a good year next year. But my ? For you is...

Say we do keep DD next year and he goes 7-5. Loses to uf and bama and splits with mizz, uga,sc, and auburn...

Fire him then?

If we keep Dooley, and he goes 7-5 next year, UT would truly be living in mediocrity. Depending on who comes back next year, I don't think you could even comtemplate keeping Dooley with that record. Not at UT, not in year 4.

Ok well what about 8-4.
But we get spanked by oregon and bama
Lose by 7-13 to UF and the lost to usce or uga?

We've won ONE SEC game over the last two seasons.

I hate to break it to you, but we're already there...and have been for a while.

A lot of rumblings at UGA (like every year) but if they did make a move, would you be opposed to reaching out to mark richt?

Yes. Richt always loses a game hes not supposed to. His recruiting would drop off since hes no longer got the hometown discount at a place like UGA too. We would never contend with him as coach.

Please, oh please don't let our next hire be Petrino. I can't support him either. I just can't.

7-5 is probable next year even if they get Jesus Christ to come coach this team. I give them no shot @Oregon, Fla or 'Bama. CAn't pencil in UGA or SC as anything but losses at this point either.

The start time for the Troy game is noon. Should be made official later today, but was told Saturday night and again this morning to expect a noon kick.

Don't think Zach Fulton practiced at all today and has been seen with a walking boot on his left leg and crutches.

I think Alex Bullard and Marcus Jackson both got extensive work today along the offensive front.

Neal practiced but remained very limited. Saw Rivera and Pig Howard walk off the field in red jerseys from practice today, but early indications are both should be able to go.

We'll all be hitting the board here with notes from Dooley's presser beginning at noon.

Lol. You're getting pretty detailed. What's the ultimate goal for any program in any year? To win a NC. What's your measuring stick? The SEC, for the past 5-6 years is the measuring stick. We have to be moving in a direction that proves we can compete with the UFs, the LSUs, and the Bamas (the teams in a title hunt each year).

Losing to Bama, UF, USC, and UGA again isn't going to cut it. JMO.

I'm just saying that's IMO what next year looks like with dooley.

Obviously 8-4 isn't bad. Maybe 9 with bowl game

But were still not a serious threat in the sec and that's a problem

According to swan, strong isn't even a candidate. I could definitely see race being an issue here

I could see the fact that he just signed a new 7 year extension until 2018 last year being a problem as well. LWS had said last week David Shaw is a much more likely candidate than Strong.

Exactly. And, the way year 3 has gone, and the way you're assuming year 4 would play out, is that good enough?

I don't think so.
