Tee Martin or David Cutcliffe?

Just tossing crazy names out there are we? Mean Gene Okerlund and/or Bobby Heenan then. TM should come home some day, but not as HC any time soon.

What is with our fanbase? just because Fulmer and Majors played and coached here does not make it the thing we should look for in hiring coaches.

Did Urban play at Florida? NO
Did Saban play at Bama? NO
Did Miles play at LSU? NO
Did Spurrier play at USCe? NO
Did Richt play at GA? NO

Hire the right coach is the issue here and Tee or Cut is not the right coach to be HC here.

Yes! Yes! Let's replace an unproven coach with a unproven coach. No disrespect to Cut but the ACC isn't quite the SEC on any level, and Tee Martin is a coordinator at best. But if we want to remain in a slump until I have children and they have children, go for it.

I see no arguments against.

Besides Tee has never been a head coach and we turned down Cut last time because of the non sec type coaches he wanted to bring. Plus outside of having Eli as his QB he hasnt been very successful. Plus he isnt a good recruiter. Hope thats good enough of anand argument.

No problems with bringing Coach Cut back as the head coach. i could see Tee as the OC, keep Jay and Coach Pittman in their current roles. Bring back Coach Chavis as the DC, make sal the LB coach. I think that would be a great scenario.

If Dooley is let go... Would Cutcliffe be considered and would he be interested? Cutcliffe has had success at Tennessee and I'm sure would be a popular hire amongst former players. I'll hang up and listen :good!:

I don't know what I'm talking about, but I'd imagine so.
Hopefully he's somewhere on the list after proven HCs and before guys like Smart.

He definitely deserves a shot before some of the unproven head coaches on the list. His overall body of work has been impressive considering the he's been at Ole Miss and Duke.

If Gruden says "no", then he should certainly get an interview. Depends on the other candidates that would be interested, but impressive what he's done with Duke.

If I remember correctly cut was offered the job before dooley was hired and he turned it down. Duke is going to a bowl game this year and it will be the first time since 1994. Cutcliffe will have a job at Duke for as long as he wants it.
