Dooley will not be the coach next season.

Ha ha, thanks for posting that. Was almost to the end of the thread and ready to post same because I couldn't believe nobody had pointed that out. How are you a college FB fan and not know that? Geez, some people. :hi:

I know right. Saban would have been fired at Bama if he had only won 7 per year for 4 years.

I like your moxy...and I think you are right. Some cats here act like they are in the board room or connected to Hart.

All these in the know posts and John Adams cannot even get a sniff. Makes no sense.

At this stage anyone can call it that way...here ya go: DD is gone, but not unitl the end of the year...there you have it...BOOM.

BS...no one knows the real deal, and yes DD has a huge azz problem, that he needs to address and fast. Its on him to get this team to play. SC game looms quite large for him and others.

And at this rate...every game after the next loss becomes a looming cloud. Blah blah blah

So, what happens if he wins "the next game"? Does it change the inevitable at this point? I don't think so.

If anyone here actually thinks it does, please HONK!

I'm not an insider. I've only been posting for a short time. I dont pretend to know everything about UT football, which is why i come here somtimes to be educated, but this only makes sense to me......Dooley will have until the end of the year. Tn would have a huge buyout. He maynot be a very good coach but he is a lawyer and pretty damn intelligent. The buyout is too large for UT to afford and pay premium money for a big time college coach, imo. I think we have est. that experiments dont always work out. UT needs a proven, consistent winner who knows how to develope and inspire his players, among other things. I dont know who it will be or what it will cost but it wont happen til the end of the yr. :hi:

Honk!

If he wins out he keeps his job. I think it's been an 8 win bench mark all along!

Donors have said they will pay the buyout in full. There is no excuse not to go after the biggest name that we can.

Decision to replace DD has NOT been made, regardless of what posters on here say.
His seat is white hot, but he still has a chance to survive beyond this year. He must beat SC this weekend.

Dude...with all due respect you, you are out of your mind.

I'm not sayin I believe anything anyone claims to know...but man, this situation is over.

The fact is...Dooley was a setup coach and he did his job. Lets get on with it.

I think you are correct. I think he served his purpose by getting our roster to a competitive level. For that I will be grateful. The next hire must be a winner in recruiting and on the field!

So we don't have a source for this do we?

There are several very reliable posters, in the know that are all saying the same thing.
That is source enough.
There are a few posters on here that are like EF Hutton, when they talk people listed.

It don`t work that way! Alabama had more talent than we do when Saban came in and his highest win total in his first four years was seven...Spurrier had about the same talent level as we do and his highest win total in his first four years was six! Be very careful what you wish for...You may get it!

I love Savannah, Tn so don't take this the wrong way. Spurrier did not have close to the talent Tennessee has when he came in. He has totally built, not rebuilt that program from absolutely nothing. He also beat teams he wasn't supposed to beat and that encouraged the fanbase and recruiting.

No way, Jose...at least within your context.

Can you honesty say that (if you were in belief that an 8 win season would save his job), that you thought it would boil down to a table run after game seven? I'd bet you were banking on a steal from either FL or GA and a slam dunk against MsSt...then a complete run in Nov....none of which has happened.

Edit: and I know what you're going to say. Doesn't matter how he wins 8 games as long as that happens. Rolling my eyes.

I used to believe too...then I woke up from this nightmare.

Doesn't matter how 8 is achieved but 8 is the number for hart IMO. I have been consistent with that number since last November. Will we get there?? He'll freezing over looks more likely but until its impossible no final decision has been made IMO.

Is this the "run" hasn't happened or "November" hasn't happened?

The target for keeping dooley will keep moving downward as the loses mount up.

Dooley is now gone !! Multiple sources including within AD have confirmed this. It won't be officially announced until Oct. 29 or new coach deal falls in place.
Dooley isn't a bad coach. He just wasn't ready for SEC monster. He ran the program with integrity and gave it his best. He just wasn't experienced enough to build and compete against the likes of Saban, Spurrier, Ritch, Meyer (previously) , Petrino etc;
Most coaches in the country won't be either. I will always support Dooley for getting us out of the ugly mess and taking us to a place where we have rebuilt to some extent with Talent. A SEC caliber coach would have won Georgia and MSU atleast. So lets not spread hatred for the man. Lets give him a good thank you and say bye. He tried what he could and I believe with 5-10 years of Big10 or ACC experience behind him he will be a good SEC type coach. He will do good in those places right now. Go DOOLEY..Beat MEYER in BIG 10.

Id go with between now and next Monday. Thats just the rumor.

Beech.. I am not so sure it will be that fast.. I know it is a rumor and there is a good chance of that, but I think they may actually wait.....

I am still not 100% sure it will happen.. I am around 97%

I think the interim coach will be a really hot topic though if it does happen early though..... Just my :twocents:

Lmao..do people really believe that?? Please explain his insane buyout part of his contract???

Let me guess mike hamilton..and im sure the boosters did not look at that contract either.
