Hart doesn't need to say a thing. Dooley needs to give him a reason to keep him.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on this. Since CDD step on campus he has worked his tail off to fix the issues we had. Hart himself said in the AL.com interview that there were things he didn't know about prior to coming in and surprised by some. CDD deserves 100% support from the top down until he no longer is our coach. Only people that want to see him fail, and in turn the Vols, will not give him the support he needs to succeed.

I don't want to hear this crap about Hart keeping an "eye" on his recruiting while he sits on a card that will help him immensely. Like him or not the man doesn't deserve that.

Just like people are watching how CDD is doing people are also watching how Hart is doing. He needs to remember that.

GBO!!!

The only way I see Dooley being let go is if they have that 'home run" guy on the hook, ready to go.. This 'guy' will have to be BIG enough so that the program takes a big step forward and recruiting takes a jump due to his name.. IF it happens, my guess is. . . . . . it has already happened... Meaning, Hart is way out in front of this and has 'the guy' already locked down (which I doubt).. In other words, barring a MAJOR disaster with the remainder of the season, say 2-4 or worse (God forbid), Dooley will be back (and have one more year to 'clean the place up' for the next guy)...

If you have a 247 subscription, I suggest you go check out the article with Willie Bo about the Bama game. Willie Bo is a senior, has played under Fulmer, Kiffin, and now Dooley, and he's a native of Mobile, AL. He never received an offer from Alabama.

He wants it.

So does Sentimore

tennessee 2013 football schedule
aug. 31 austin peay - win
sept. 7 western kentucky - win
sept. 14 at oregon - loss
sept. 21 at florida - loss
sept. 28 south alabama - win
oct. 5 georgia - swing game
oct. 12 open
oct. 19 south carolina - swing game
oct. 26 at alabama - loss
nov. 2 at missouri - win
nov. 9 auburn - win
nov. 16 open
nov. 23 vanderbilt - win
nov. 30 at kentucky - win

best-case scenario for next year is 12-0

good probability - 8-4 or 9-3

worst-case scenario for next year is 6-6

fyp :)

Why schedule Oregon so early---would prefer flip South Alabama and Oregon.

I say stack the box and make AJ and a couple of their young wideouts beat us. AJ, like Bray, isn't nearly as efficient when he's on the move.

If we can somehow force him to his left, we're cooking with Crisco.

My wife only uses Canola and Extra Virgin Olive Oil...I miss crisco---makes the best fried chicken and fried green tomatoes. :)

This... People that count realize that the 3 teams that we've lost to are 19-1. That Rutgers is 6-0 and if we played them next week we'd be 7 pt favorites. If we played in the ACC we'd be 1st or 2nd in the league but we should go ahead and fire Dooley.
Point taken. However, we don't want to be better than Rutgers, that isn't the problem. We want to be better than Florida, Alabama, and Georgia, not an ACC runner-up caliber of a team.

How soon (if ever) will DD get us to that level. That is the question.

"Who's-Who" visitor list. Cannot emphasize enough the importance of making a good impression on these prospects --- see Florida, although we lost recruits had nothing but positive feedback regarding their visit.

Play with consistency. Play with determination. Play with discipline. Play a positive TA/TO gm. Play tough. Play 60 minutes --- win or lose I'll be proud of our team!

well...it took Spurrier 6 years at SC...if you're not willing to wait...then get rid of our coaches and we'll go back 3 to 4 years and start over.....but how long will that new coach last before everyone wants him gone....the fans are what is driving the "HOT SEAT"..and keeping these top, big name recruits away....watch what you wish for...you just might get it...

Bama will see a different defense saturday. Dooley is making Sal scale back the defensive plays, we have actually played good defense when we kept it simple. When we have played well, we try and do something exotic and usually something bad happens. Hopefully it works out.

Thanks Skeet. #pause That's similar to what I was thinking. Now if we could just move up some so that we can cover the slot receiver.

Took him 6 games to realize he can't run everything with these players?

What do you want Hart to endorse?

This quote stood out to me:

"I'm competitive to a fault. I'm not proud of that, but that's kind of in my DNA," Hart said. "So nobody's more upset, believe me. I just can't display it like some people can.

"But I wouldn't want to work in an environment where there was no passion. You just have to understand that. What I have to do is see the big picture — because I see it everyday. Most people see it on Saturday, I see it seven days a week. I have to view the big picture, and that's what I've always done."

I definitely think Dooley is here next year.
