I honestly don't know how to feel about McCarron's possible injury. First and foremost, let me say that I would never wish ill will on any player regardless of the team they play for. With that being said, is it better or worse for us to prepare for a potential running QB despite it being an inexperienced backup?.

If he is indeed hurt, I could see Alabama leaning on there backs more and running the zone read some w Blake Sims similar to what S. Carolina does with Shaw and Lattimore.

Tino Thomas and Jason Croom have the same shoulder problem. Their shoulders continue to pop in and out of place. Jason has had successful surgery, and Tino will likely have surgery, too.

I hate hearing this. It sounds eerily similar to the injury that cut short Brent Vinson's career. He had a bright future. Durability is essential in the SEC.

My responses to said survey:

Please provide comments about student attendance:

Most of the students treat gamedays as a social event. They don't understand what makes Tennessee great because all they have ever known is mediocrity. It should therefore come as no surprise that virtually no students are in the stands when the gates open, and many leave early.

The only thing that matters is winning games. I would pay 100 dollars per ticket if we were winning. Tennessee football is about winning. Again, Winning is all that matters.

Would a lot of current commits and others that have strong interest in UT be definitely lost with a homerun type hire?

I doubt it. In fact, we'd probably have a chance to get it on big time players that aren't currently interested in UT.

agreed - and i like DD but this myth that every kid looking at us would immediately decommit is just that - prob DD's best class was the halfway one he did his first year

Who is their backup?

According to UA coach Nick Saban, McCarron (knee bruise) will be ready to go for the Vols. As for his backup, it's been a mix of sophomore Blake Sims and redshirt freshman Phillip Ely. Sims is more of a single-wing option (zone read) with an average arm, while Ely is more an under-center guy. I can see both being used if McCarron goes out for an extended period of time.

This is from Travis Reier, Bama's 247 writer. He was asked about AJ McCarron's injury and possible back-up.

The huge Sims is now at Virginia. I could be wrong but I think Blake Sims is bama's wildcat QB and more of a slot WR type.

Haha. I love that GIF. It's OK, though. Chavis just isn't good with numbers. Thinking an opposing fan base is going to take over approximately 1/3 of Neyland is just silly, IMO.
