My point is ADs are constantly updating their contingency lists in the event something happens to their HC. Not that most ADs are looking to hire new HCs every year.

I hope you're not talking about HDN.

Don't mean to intrude, just throwing out name of another former SEC head coach - Tuberville.

I'm not sold on that rosters issues being Grudens fault. Pro sports have a GM for a reason. Tampa didnt want to spend money either.

No. He specifically wanted veteran qb's. Most good veterans are retained by original team, so you have to get retreads to fill the void. That is my biggest fear with Gruden.

This is of course, *if* we go get another coach.

Whered you hear that? Not disputing, just wondering. And what is VQ saying about this Gruden mess? Same thing?

That Wes Rucker stated Gruden was contacted 3 years ago and he was interested but the price tag was prohibitive.

Rucker isn't the greatest source, he was one of the main reasons I left 247, but thats what the Gruden thread is about.

QBs arent the only position on a football roster. Tampa Bay has been cheap outside of Vincent Jackson.

:hi: Thank you sir.
