Yeah,no doubt..I haven't been in the Carl Lawson thread lately..any news on him? I'm too lazy to venture out of my comfort zone.:p

With Gruden as coach, a kid of Lawson's talent would love to play for Chucky.:dance2:

News is that he's waning on his commitment to AU. Rivals reported that he is the most likely to flip if AU continues to nose dive. He'll be in Knoxville for the Bama game which is HUGE because he said he wouldn't take ANY visits until after his season is over. About a week ago he said that he talks to Sal and Jay every week. A poster who has a subscription to the Auburn rivals site says Tennessee is the only school that can flip him and that his dad isn't a big fan of Auburn. A poster on Rivals who is apparently close to the Lawson family said that he ends up at UT or FSU (which is weird because FSU hasn't been mentioned).

He is probably talking about the pusification of the sport itself.

Not a surprise that Gruden's comment is twisted around..Just looking for any negatives regarding him..Let me think of one.....ummm....can't think of one.:)

OTOH, I can think of plenty of negatives regarding another coach, won't mention any names.:whistling:

Would it be rude of me to start a sub thread about seeing J. Fisher on a Scooter traveling on Andy Holt this a.m.?

hahaha,,,silly grudes talking about Lawson and Green. Neither one of you have a core thought, just sheep bleeping back and forth. Here is the core thought - If either one of them come here,,,it won't be because your pie in the sky pipe dream of groooden being hc - it will simply come down to CDD and Co. recruiting. Think about it,,if your able to have a thought of your own.

I know that is big Super bowl ring he has on tonight...

A fellow Grudenite posted it several pages back,I found it for you:

Mr. Dooley says he sells the University of Tennessee, not the coaching staff, therefore if a coaching change were to happen, the recruits will stick, right koach??? Or am I mistaken?

Realistically, what are the chances of getting Gruden here?

Realistically,,,or do you want the groodenites version? In a nutshell,,,somebody that saw somebody lip sync sombody else, then they read between the lip sync,,,well you get the story. This whole grooden thread is akin to a bunch of kids,,,,beiber fans,,,you get my drift.

Gruden at Tennessee would be monstrous TV ratings every week...As I've said numerous times if hired his name alone would draw top dollar, Season ticket sales would go through the roof, Merchandise sales would be tremendous...That would pay for his salary at UT with plenty left over.

Thats funny since you post in it as much as anyone.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I don't doubt Dooley's integrity and would rest assured that he would not pull a Kiffen. The flip side would be more uncertainty in the state of our program and how said recruits would react. You don't know and I don't know. You groods assume that since xxx was once a coach in the NFL,,the recruits would follow. If I was a guessing man, right now I would say that Green is 80% and Lawson is already committed elsewhere. If a coaching change would happen, my guess is that Green would be 50% and Lawson would still be committed elsewhere.

Well... Coach Dooright said it himself - "We sell the University, not the coaches, when players commit, they commit to the University of Tennessee, not our coaches".
