Showed up just in time for some "just because, dude" Harper bashing. It's like the bat symbol.

oh he didnt? my mistake. Thought i saw somewhere that he did

edit: read it wrong lol

Nope. Nomo through a no hitter and was I believe the very first Japanese pitcher to come to the MLB. Had a good enough season and good media hype (LA market) where he famously won it over Chipper, although Chipper had a good season also.

Yeah thanks, saw it after I really looked into it. Guess I was a little biased

Whatever. Cheers was and still is awesome. I suppose you liked The Cosby Show better?

I have pretty much hated all sitcoms ever since I first figured out the basic formula back in the 70s, probably while watching the original version of Three's Company. I was aware of most of the popular shows and characters from the 80s by cultural osmosis, but I never watched more than a handful of shows' worth of any of them.

I don't necessarily disagree that Cheers was the best of them, btw. That doesn't mean it didn't still suck.

Oh yeah. He was rollin. That is as good as Kershaw has been this season, according to WAR.

That same year Randy Johnson went 9.5 WAR hahahaha.

Randy Johnson is one of the best five best non-dead ball era pitchers ever IMO.

Cheers did not suck. Moving on...

Give me your thoughts on these beer combos...Half and Half? Black and Tan? Blasphemous or no for a Guinness aficionado such as yourself?

Randy Johnson's 2001 season:

249.2 IP
10.7 WAR
2.49 ERA
2.13 FIP
13.4 K/9
2.56 BB/9
372 K's-71 BB's
37.4 K%

WHAAATTT?????

That's small potatoes my friend. Google Dwight Gooden stats from 1985.

I did. And they are incredible, especially for what, a 20 year old? But Johnson actually had the better year statistically, even though Gooden probably had the more impressive year considering his age.

The craziest thing about Gooden's 1985 is that he stranded 87% of baserunners...

That's ****ing unreal.

How did *majority of former players who randomly have analyst jobs* get said analyst job
