The foster care biz isnt for everyone, but there are a ton of kids out there waiting for a family to give them a hand.

Need to have more folks willing to step out of the comfort zone and get into fostering.

Sometimes the kids just need a fresh start.

The kid of mine that graduated from Boot Camp 2 years ago, she literally took a knife to a gunfight one night. She had been in so much trouble with the law. Her rap sheet, if you hold it end to end, is more than 6ft long. All before the age of 16.

She was just over 16 when she came to our house. She wanted to turn her life around. She had goals, and she knew she couldnt reach them living with her mom. She worked hard. Very hard. At one point she was the only black kid in her HS. She rode to school everyday with my kid, they played basketball in the JrPro league together. She learned to ignore the redneck racists in our town. She learned to fight through self doubt. She learned to succeed.

She is now in the National Guard and in the Police Academy in M-Boro.(I think thats where it is)

Awesome kid, just needed someone to believe in her.

Actually, my wife's family is from there. From what I understand, they started that town. I only go there to hunt. I try and steer clear from the pedophiles...most of the time.

Lucky for you, you're not dead to me anymore. Carry on...

For teenage boys growing up in Roane Co., Crossville was where you went looking for some strange. And some if it was really strange.

I love occasional visits to the FF. It's kinda like watching "Hoarders"...I feel better about myself afterwards...

It's not as bad as I expected, but this is my first time logging on since the game and I only read one thread.

This was in the 90's, meth wasn't much of a problem back then. They had other issues. Crossville has some really great scenery, and there's some cool parts of tow, but I wouldn't live there.
