Dooley just said he doesn't expect Rogers back this season

A coach doesn't say publicly that their "expectations are that he won't play at all this season" unless they are 99% sure it's damage that can't be undone.

why? coachspeak is coachspeak. He might know that to be the case, but it also could be meant to make this real for 21. I don't think we know at this point.

Losing. It really does not matter why at this point. He has to win games and this hurts his chances any way you slice it or dice it.

If it was an agent situation as someone suggested then it was the right decision for the program.

Stupid selfish people do stupid selfish things.

I have to agree. Logic indicates that the odds of hitting our best case scenario just dropped. Because the team will be distracted, beating NCSU in the Dome just got harder. The way the team comes out and competes for NCSU will be a strong indicator of how the season will likely play out. We already have injuries and depth issues at critical positions. All of this hurts.

I am hopeful, but not as much. If we lose to NCSU and UF, IDT Dooley will make it here. And the odds of that just got greater. Not good news eight days before a tough opener in a tough venue.

They should just unsuspend him and let him play. He will be gone after this year anyways and without him we might win 7 games.
