Da'Rick Rogers suspended indefinitely (merged)

Whatever. At some point, if you want to win, you got to look the other way. Urban Meyer won two NCs at Florida letting criminals play.

We can gripe about losing, or we can gripe about not having a bunch of saints on the team. Da'rick is gone after this year anyway, let him play. JMO.

The problem with Rogers involves acts of insubordination (missing meetings and functions, exploding on coaches, etc.). If you want to lose a locker room real quick, you let him get away with that crap. If you want a cohesive team, you deal with him severely until he (1) gets with the program or (2) gets his @$$ on down the road.

You DO NOT placate a cancer.

One thing I'm sure of is that they wouldn't "indefinitely suspend him" publicly if there was a chance of him being back in a week. He's at least out for NCSU. And I've been bragging to my old friends from NC about our three-headed-monster at WR.

Whatever he did, Da'Rick needs a spanking.

Indef suspensions usually mean they are doing one of a few things:

taking time to mull over your punishment severity

taking time to determine if you should even be allowed to come back

giving the player time to take corrective action in the situation they may have caused.

This could of been something that was planned as well, think about it Dooley did not wanna talk about the depth chart and everyone assumes this is something that just happened. He could be suspended for 2 games an come back everyone needs to back off the ledge and unload the gun. We need him and if he would not of been there from the start NC state could game plan for that now they will be in scrammble mood to adjust. DD mentioned that today would be when they started the game plan for the game. Just adding my input

Was kinda strange the way CDD was refusing to give any depth chart info his last interview. Hopefully we are all overreacting. Seems to happen a lot here.

Da'Rick Rogers incidents in past yr were so troubling to staffers they felt Dooley was risking tm dynamic by allowing him to remain w UT.

Fyp. Someone need to beat his ass in line. He is 8 months away from a huge paycheck.

This means the Vols are now talented enough to discipline a gifted problem player. That's a good sign for the program.

Funny that **** like this comes out when an actual suspension occurs. If its been that serious and staff felt this way, something would have leaked imo.

Im all for teaching kids leasons and all that jazz but IMO he needs to be removed from the team or not be suspended any games at all. There is a lot riding on this season for Dooley to pull something like that. If its not serious enough for a dismissal than **** it and win some damn games.

maybe its from this past spring they are doing it now and let him go through fall camp.....DR probably knew this was coming

If you're wondering about UT's drug policy, a second failed test would be a one game suspension. First results in no penalty.
