Biden is standing up there while all of you are posting on a Tennessee Volunteer forum debating politics. He clearly isn't an idiot.

well Snooki is a tv star and wrote a book so she must not be an idiot either.

for a more relevant example....Go Gata and Corch Meyer

Big difference between becoming a cast member on a show specifically seeking outlandish Italian-Americans and being the Vice President of the United States of America. Writing him off as an idiot is laughable, shortsighted and ignorant.

I gave you a better example and I'm sorry but Biden's track record suggests he is definitely lacking something. Kudos to him for making that far on below average intelligence

Surely, you're not suggesting that politicians or Vice Presidents are smart by nature...

I don't think its that Biden is dumb or, in the words of Rudy, just not smart. I think he gets in front of a crowd and believes his own hype. Its not lack of intellect, its pure ego that drives him to be an idiot on the podium.

yet you think Palin and W were dumb I suppose.

none of them are particularly intellectual but neither are the dumb in the scientific (IQ) sense of the word.

I finally decided what bothered me about that statement. It is the use of the word ya'll in a fake southern drawl, instead of the word us. As if he is speaking at the crowd instead of to them. This is sadly indicative of the legacy of the current Joker in Chief.

Writing him off as an idiot is laughable, shortsighted and ignorant.

no, I'm pretty sure Joe Biden is an idiot. Whether it's just natural or a result of years of alcohol abuse coupled with a couple of brain aneurysms, Joe Biden is an idiot.

Exactly. The ego claim is pure political spin. You can't fix stupid when it reaches this level.

Had VP Chaney said what Biden did, he would be unemployed the next day. The absolute outrage by Congress would be incredible....not to mention Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. The acceptance of such rhetoric by our current Senate is astounding. Of course, even if a censure vote was brought up by the Republican members, it wouldn't make it to the Senate floor. Scary Reed and his buddies are truly the party of "No".

Inherently brilliant? No. Idiots? You can't become Vice President if you're an idiot. Intelligence is obviously not the only factor, but you're not going to advance far enough in your political career to become Vice President if you're just a bumbling idiot. We're not talking about the mayor of Crofton, Nebraska here.

You might have a case if Game Change had not be released and McCain/Palin campaign advisers had not publicly endorsed the heart of the message.

And the Republican wouldn't do the same thing if they were in the same position? Common.

Don't know, we haven't had a dem house and con senate that I can remember (which isn't saying much). I would dare say they wouldn't. The Cons tend to fold under pressure even when they are right. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the other side. My party needs to grow some, that has been the case for awhile.

You give that functional retard the benefit of the doubt yet almost every time Palin or Michelle open their mouths you are here crucifying them for their adjunct stupidity. Pot? Kettle?

Biden has a history of these gaffes but yet it never really comes back on him.

I'll never forget when he asked State Senator Graham to stand up to take a round of applause from the crowd. Only problem was State Senator Graham has been a parapalegic since age 16.

Still looking for evidence as to why Biden is truly an idiot, grandpa.

there are numerous examples but here's one of my favorites

When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.
