'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Todd Kelly is a busy man on and off the field

Is this kid in the same convo as Ramsey or Bell? I admit I'm not too familiar with Knoxville Preps, how's the competition at Webb School and the district they play in?

And more importantly, he's talking about visiting (5) west coast schools, does anyone think there's legit interest or is he destined to be a VFL?

He's a Vol already, maybe a better prospect than both Ramsey and Bell. One of the best young players I've seen in a while. Could come in and start for a lot of teams.

He will probably be the most highly recruited player to ever come from E. TN...

On Ramsey... if someone out west fine tunes his technique he will be top a 10 pick in 3 years...

Believe me I know. I'm talking about at the same stage. Ramsey has it all physically and mentally. I like him a lot at CB. He can compete with any WR for a jump ball. Those long arms and vertical are sick for a CB his size.

Glad to hear he's already in the fold. But what about the competition? I googled a little and saw Webb School plays in the lowest division--they typically hung 50 on their opponents until playing #1's: Maryville and Ensworth. I know a little about Maryville's reputation, never heard of Ensworth.

He's obviously talented; just wondering how a player adjusts to such a dramatic difference in game speed--even he mentions it. If he's 6'1 190 now, could this kid maybe grow into a will LB? You'd think he'll grow more still having (2) more years of HS...

Sean Taylor style safety. He's a big smooth athlete.

Ensworth has won back-to-back state championships in football and basketball in TN's top division. With coaching he can adjust well to the college level, I think he will stay at safety. B.Brewer is 215 playing safety for the Vols now.

Right, sort of like he did with Jalen Ramsey and Otha Peters just to name a couple

I should've worded it differently, I didn't mean he does it all the time. I'm just talking about most posters in the recruiting forum when a prospect decides to go elsewhere.

Todd Kelly, along with Jalen Tabor and Quin Blanding, were named as summer camp standouts as DB's.

Kendall Fuller, Jalen Ramsey among summer DB standouts - More Sports - SI.com

And then there's Rashaad Gaulden and Isaiah McDaniel who people say are pretty good, too.

Would love to have Randolph, McNeil, Thomas, Miles, Reeves-Maybin, and Vonn Bell on campus in 2014, along with Kelly, Tabor, and McDaniel.

I can dream, can't I?

He is definitely interested in other schools.

If you are dreaming why aren't the Berry Twins in there?
