Da Reds thread

Also today, the Reds designated for assignment LHP Rheal Cormier and recalled from Louisville RHP Brad Salmon. Salmon will wear uniform number 53.:rock:today is a great day.

and Denorfia has been traded to the A's for two players to be named and cash.
first player to be named in the deal
Reds acquired RHP Marcus McBeth from the Athletics as one of the players to be named in the Chris Denorfia deal.

That's better than we thought they'd do for an injured outfielder. McBeth, probably Oakland's top relief prospect, had a 1.80 ERA and a 6/3 K/BB ratio in 10 innings for Triple-A Sacramento. He is 26 years old, but he was an outfielder before being turned into a reliever prior to the 2005 season. If he keeps making progress, he could have a future as a setup man. The Reds will likely give him a look later this season.

this sounds like it is gonna be a very good trade for the reds

It was a great day for the reds.
1.Belisle looked amazing again. This man is going to have a career year and then hes gonna get paid.
2.I think the Bats are finally starting to get where they should be. 8 runs today and all of them were produced without the help of the long ball.
3.The trade for Deno looks like its gonna be a good one. They got a releif man that should be up before summer that can supposedly throw 94-96mph and another player to be named (hopefully a catching prospect).
4.I have figured out how to solve the bullpen problem... Just have the starters pitch like Belisle did tonight:rock:
5. Cormier is no longer apart of the pen. Thats awesome.

I think Hamilton has taken over the CF spot with freel only playing every now and then.

Arroyo is actually getting some run support, this should free him up to pitch most of the game. Get on it Bronson.

he had plenty of run support in one of his other outings and like a 5 run lead but then the pen blew it, but the bats are on fire and have been for the last couple games.

I am all about Bronson Arroyo pitching a complete game shutout tonight. I can feel it.

Adam Dunn has to hit a home run here, there is no one for him to leave on if he strikes out.
