Come on, where's your SEC pride? You know Bama winning championships helps UT's recruiting.

It helps Nick Saban call a kid up with his version of Hot Sauce. "Hey this Nick Saban, coach of the National Championship winning Alabama Crimson Tide". I never can cheer for Bama or Florida. I hate those two schools with a passion.

Alabama > Auburn.

Agree with Florida tho. Lots and lots of Florida hate.

Sometimes I forget how nice it is to not live in Alabama and have the option to take stances like that.

Well, I have lived in South Carolina and currently live in Georgia. I can't stand Georgia fans, but I still like to see them win when they play out of conference. I guess that I just have that SEC pride, where I want to see our conference (and hopefully us soon) continue to dominate college football. I think that it helps all of the SEC teams somewhat in recruiting to say that we play in the SEC, and players get a lot more exposure throughout this conference as a whole versus any other conference.

I root against our conference every chance I get. I have zero SEC pride. USC and Michigan are recruiting quite well in spite of their conference. Screw Bama I hope they lose every week. I find it hard to believe any of you guys would root for Alabama against anyone. Times have changed.

Nope, it has always been an SEC family...YOU can kick your little brothers arse, but the hell if you want anyone else to. That is the stance of most SEC fans I know. Most have trouble rooting for uf ooc but they still do. Here in TX most SEC folks stick together.

I think our fans are trying to live vicariously through the achievements of other teams as of late. Rooting for Bama or UF should be banworthy.

This is the truth. Vols rooting for Bammers never used to happen. A Gator or a Bammer would never be considered a little brother.

To me thats just plain ridiculous. Not bashing you, but I could give a crap less about ANY other collegiate team.

I used to pull for any SEC team, but given the rear-end whoopings we've suffered over the last few years (and not just our football team), I couldn't care less whether any SEC team (other than our own) ever wins another game again. Maybe my opinion will change after we come around again, but, for now, it is anti-SEC and pro-UT. I'll have to admit, though, that I don't think there's a right or wrong view on this subject; to each his own.

I don't. I want georgia, Florida, sc, and bama to all be undefeated when we play them. Not saying its possible but a much sweeter win for us if we pull it off when they are.

I wholeheartedly agree and do not understand why this is such an unpopular opinion on these boards. I always pull for both our past and future opponents to win because it helps our ranking to have quality wins. When two teams that are both on our schedule play I pull for the one that being ranked higher helps us the most, and that is usually the team that is already ranked higher.

Fans who always pull against Florida and Alabama, etc., are rooting for us to have a lower strength of schedule which is always an important factor in how we are ranked nationally.

Beating Florida or Bama is always sweet, but so much more so when they are otherwise having a very good year. Why would anyone rather beat a 5-5 Florida or Bama team than beat them when they are 10-0 or 9-1?? That is moronic if you are a true Tennessee fan.

It is for that same reason that I always pull for the SEC team in OOC games.

On my phone, where are you located? Here in texas most SEC folks stick together. Funny story, on my son's baseball team a few season's ago, there were the following SEC dads au, uga, lsu, uf and me (UT of course). Took maybe 2 practices before the uf dad had pissed off the rest of the SEC dads. Guess you can take the uf grad out of the swamp, but they spew piss everywhere.

Top 5 of Alabama, Tennessee, UCLA, S.Carolina and Georgia. Looks to commit in late Aug. (no order)

Has Bama backed off, TW? I read that he didn't really impress at UA's camp.

Tbh I do not know now and no one seems to know. K Neibuhr said last night that his guess is UA, but I have seen so many different names being throw around lately and not much mention of Langley. Maybe with Ramsey completely off the table for UA as an option it bumps up Langley. Not a knock on Langley just so many top DBs still uncommited.

I still think UGA especially since they just offered his best friend who he said he wanted to play with. Another RN type situation except his friend seems to be worth a scholarship.

Langley's recruitment suddenly quited down after his teammate got a UGA offer. Last thing he mentioned was that they would definitely end up at the same school. Mauger is now supposed to be visiting on Dawg Night with his mom, and has said that he will commit if his mom approves.

Well I heard that there was an incident with Georgia, but in the video he said it got all cleared up. But I like us better than Georgia here

it will be uga for him from everything we hear about it. langley and mauger will be in the red and black if the information we have is right.
