'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

While we don't exactly get to impress like Arkansas does, I like it when moms are along for campus visits. Means serious business.

Not getting my hopes up....but damn it would be nice to get a RB of this caliber on the Hill again.

The kid had a great visit and his mother loves it here. She plans on coming back with him on his official, cant ask for much more than that at this stage.

Good news. The fact that kids like Green and Nkemdiche are even mentioning us is an awesome thing. I've always believed if we can get a visit, we have a shot. UT's campus blows most away. And this new football facility can only help!

Green, who moves up to the nation's No. 1 running back slot and debuts as a five-star at No. 12, just made it too hard on Rivals.com to keep him outside that range.

"Green looks physically like a college junior," Farrell said. "If you put him in any college uniform right now and told someone who had never seen him that he was a 1,500-yard rusher, they wouldn't blink an eye. Plus he's shown the ability to block and catch passes now, so he's gone from a two-down back to an every-down guy. He's the most physically impressive running back we've seen in awhile."

This is just proof that we need to keep the rock painting tradition for bigtime recruits coming up here. It makes an impression on a kid knowing that the fan base wants them there just as much as the coaching staff does. Especially when fans take the time out of their schedule to paint a big ass rock to show them that.

Much love Ertel
