'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Green was suppose to visit Vandy today but cancelled & spent another day in Knoxville.

Vandy just deleted the YouTube video pumping the imaginary visit. Franklin seen crying next to the empty bathroom stall he wanted to show off

The longer the visit is the better the end result will be for our Vols. Would love to see this kid in Vol orange in 2013.

He's on his way home and the VQ squad has talked to him. I assume an article is coming soon.

If, IF, Derrick Green signs with us, he could be the most valuable recruit we've signed in a long time. He is a BIG TIME running back.

i would say biggest recruit since bryce. this guy is on his way up and could finish as a top three back which should put him as what? a top 25 or so recruit?

digging the fav teams there powell.

back to green. are we ever gonna hear how his visit went? i mean maybe no news is good news but im dying to know.

Vols4us is has pretty good fav teams too, maybe we can flip him from Broncos to Bengals!:) Back to Green, I LOVE he stayed an extra day instead of going to Vandy.

"It was really nice," Green described with much enthusiasm in his tone.

"The fans showed a lot of love. I toured the campus with Coach (Jay) Graham and spoke with some people from academics and spoke with some of the players."

Like many recruits, his eyes drew immediately to the state-of-the-art facilities. "And the new facilities, they are ridiculous," he added.

While the campus is appealing, from early on, Green made it clear that he will thoroughly investigate his future role on the gridiron. Does Tennessee offer him what he wants?

"Oh, yea definitely," he responded. "I like the different things they are doing out in the backfield. The different things they do with the running backs and how they use them in space."

Green keeps a notepad with him while he travels school to school, and jots downs his thoughts: things he doesn't like and does like about each program. Vols fans can rest assured that Green has nothing negative to scribble down about his trip to Tennessee. The Virginia native also had intended on stopping by Vanderbilt this holiday weekend, but Nashville was cut from the itinerary for no reason, Green said.

The four-star is expected to narrow his list down this summer. Stay tuned.

Im holding on to the idea that the phrase " the fans showed a lot of love" is a reference to the rock lol. I mean what else could it be
