No way that Bama pulls Henry, Jones, and Tenpenny at RB. If Henry pulls the trigger and flips to Bama, then one of 2 things happens...Tenpenny or Jones starts to open up their recruitment, or Bama somehow sold Henry on the fact that he will be too big to play RB and he is being recruited by them as a LB.
In the latest interview he said him and his coaches spoke to Saban and was told they are recruiting him at RB but he also listed all the things he needed to do to be able to play RB in college because of his size. Saban also told him though if RB does not work out he has the ability to play multiple places on the field.
Calloway even rated as a 5 star LB wanted to play RB and Saban gave him a shot. But like most figured to big for it. But now he appears to be inline to be our HB on offense and in the spring dominated out of the backfield as an extra weapon. I could see Henry doing the same thing at UA IF he did switch, which has not happened yet.
Jones and Tenpenny are both pure RBs and probably the only 2 in this class. Even if we got Kamara I think he would project as a Slot because of his speed and ability to work in congested areas.
UA will have Lacy gone after this year and Hart seems to stay in some kind of trouble. Even rumors about him transferring already because Yeldon looks to be the #2 RB in the fall. Which means Jones and Tenpenny could be competing for the #2 and #3 spots as true freshman. Not to mention Tenpenny still has to show in the fall he has fully recovered. Jones on the other hand may be better than Yeldon.
Players so far have no concern with depth at UA unless they are afraid to compete for their position. Because every year true freshman have made the field and/or started under Saban. So they know coming in if they put in the work they push another guy out. A situation even UT fans I would think want to happen under CDD.

So he was told the same things every coach is telling him.
I guess we say it every year, but UA can't get every top RB. They are in the running for Kamara, now Henry, then obviously Jones and Tenpenny. Crazy. Won't happen.
Tennessee has a better shot at Henry than Bama IMHO. Henry wants to be the RB and UGA and Bama are both loaded at RB. Saban told Henry that he would try him at RB for a coule of years and see where it goes from there. That is not what Henry wants to hear and he has stated quite a few times. I am not worried at all about Bama flipping him. I am very concerned that Tennessee could.
He told Henry that and Henry had no concern atleast not in the interview. And in the same interview Henry said after that he would visit UA on June 8th and after he returns he will know where he will end up at school.
"I was talking to my coaches and we were breaking down the schools," the 6-3, 240-pound Henry says. "We were talking about what I think and what they think, and right now I think that Alabama is a place where everything that I want in college can happen."
Again not sure where Henry ends up but it does appear UGA is going to hold onto him at the moment. He is flirting to much with UT and UA.
Does anyone feel like this kid as a better shot at an NFL career( more productive) if he changes positions. I read he's gained 15 pounds of muscle since last year, still runs a 4.5, has a 40 inch vertical jump. Maybe a defensive end, linebacker,or even a tight end. I think he could do all of these things at the NFL if we wanted to do it. I still believe he will be a great college running back but I feel like in the NFL he is better suited for another position. This kid is a physical freak.
Who else thinks it's time for Nicky to give the NFL another try? On the other hand I could probably coach their talent to a SECC (the Les Miles effect)

I'm hearing he's going to open it up and name GA/UA his leader in a few weeks. Going to be there for 3 days in June so things are trending towards Bama for sure.

You can only speak for yourself. If you don't think the vols will flip henry then you aren't who I am talking about. I see plenty of guys who believe Henry will flip to the vols whether it's next monday or later in the year. I am saying he will not and he will be a Dawg and an EE at that.
yep.. he was doing the same thing while at tennessee. it's very common and happens all of the time. henry is doing a great job recruiting for UGA as is shaq wiggins and tray matthews.
To think a commit to UGA thats openly recruiting for us, is best friends with 2 of our commits, and has deemed himself HershelWalker_2 is solid? I hope thats typical... Its called common sense. BTW, Henry always speaks very nicely of schools/visits and the being #2 thing shouldnt get you too happy. We went from 4 to 2 to 3 to 1 in the span of a month. Im just tryna say dont get too excited (and good luck)
